Maybe because the update was 1.5GB?

I went for direct line of sight 5ghz wifi update for this huge one.
Not wrong just that everyone have it’s own style to receive an OTA. 😂

What is 1.5GB in today modern world, consider a small file size. Nowadays with 5G and so much mobile data and Apple allowing over cellular OTA update which makes things way easier, update anytime, anywhere.

1.5GB even at home with WiFi take less than 2 minute to finish download and less than 10mins to finish updating and iPhone auto restart.

Wah bro going old school 😎 Nostalgia when i update my iPhone 4/5 back then 😬
I don’t even know when is the last time I plug my iPad or iPhone into my desktop to connect to iTunes. Everything is done wirelessly on 5G or WiFi.

Nowadays network speed be it is too much, too fast and perhaps overkill for normal usage as typical household are using fibre at 1Gbps unlimited and 5G plan that come with 100 to 200GB of mobile data. How to use finish…too much 🤣🤣

Wow, so old school. Now nowadays all OTA, still got people plug in and update arh? The old fashion way 🙄
Me lo…I ever had an update broken because of an unstable WiFi connection (though it was 4 years ago) and had to do a DFU restore.

Not dead set though, I just prefer wired update if it’s available. No rush to update anyway.

It’s like some people prefer wired internet over wireless for gaming haha.

For my household wifi, I can reach about 800 mbps download speed on 5ghz direct line of sight wifi.

So the update download took about 15 seconds.

iTunes don't let me update (I am on the latest version).

Got it fixed. Had to remove iTunes (previously installed by downloading from Apple) and installing iTunes from Microsoft Store (the same version by the way).
