I don't think 5G is that critical now since SG is still 2, 3 years away from establishing 5G-coverage across whole island...

more concerned with the camera performance (especially in low light). Sony bragged a lot about their fast autofocus but I wonder how it is like under low light whether the photos will turn out sharp or not.

any 1 mark ii users wanna share how the low light shots are like?

thanks pal. yeah seems like consistent with reviews - that low light shots are poor. and since they did not change the main/ultrawide lens at all, most likely it'll turn out the same for 1iii :(

The reply from Sony support I posted about 5G is kinda weird.

I checked and for the most part current 5G trials including singtel 5g is using NSA. The 888 5G chip factsheet also states multi mode support for both 5G SA and NSA modes, have replied to Sony Support to further grill them haha. Waiting for follow-up response

Haha I think someone got into trouble for either saying the wrong things or releasing the info early before they even decide if they launching here

Got a reply that basically says sorry we cannot reveal anything yet hahahah

Thank you for your reply to Sony Singapore.

With regards to your query, I would like to assist you further on this matter.

Upon further checking, I regret to inform you that the Xperia 1III is not launching yet, therefor nothing is confirmed.

However, I am sorry to inform you that we are unable to provide you further information at the moment.

I hope the information has clarified your concern.

If you wanna use your phone for 3-4 yrs then you should worry about 5G. Else, 5G should not be the main concern when buying this phone.

FYI, i'm using starhub 5G with a 12 pro max. 5G is horrible now in singapore. You are better off with 4G now.
