12 mp is decent enough.. my dslr is 12mp and it shoots bloody well for a 10 year old device...

unless you are printing your photos on the size of a football pitch, you don't need that many mega pixels.. even if I give you a 100 inch tv, you are not gonna see any difference with 12mp...

from what I see in the article, the bottom lens is 70 and 105mm with dual sensor.. (variable telephoto) (periscope might be possible there)
番下のカメラは1つのレンズで70mmと105mmの2つの焦点距離(画角)での撮影が可能にする可変式望遠レンズでDual PDセンサーが搭載

Other specs,
120Hz 4k screen, 240hz touch sampling rate.
4500mah battery, 12gb ram, 256gb storage

periscope but 3x zoom?
You see those people who shoot soccer they usually use those 300mm big beer can size lenses. Thats 300mm distance loh. But whats interesting is the AI clear image zoom. I cant wait to see how clear it can really achieve ~
Also they did not state the display brightness (or better how good is the still sunlight legibility )

Yup. 300mm is really far range.

i'm glad sony uses this term instead of how many x zoom. I am more familiar with mm markers lol..

It usually starts with the smallest focal length of the gadget / camera which is 16mm. Maximum is 105mm for proper optical zoom. 105÷16 = around 6.56 times optical zoom. The 300 mm zoom is AI resolution zoom which is not proper optical zoom. But if unofficially want to calculate it , that will be 300÷16 = 18.75 times zoom. But this case Sony used 24 mm as their main. So you take 105÷24=4.375 which is around 4.4 times optical zoom.

what are your tots? personally I wasn't particularly impressed... that they didn't try to upgrade their main/ultrawide lens with at least a bigger aperture or sensor size, but instead used the exact same ones as 1 mark II.

telephoto lens is (or are) interesting (so there's 2.9x and 4.4x optical).

but past xperia iterations have been let down heavily by their software, based on reviews everywhere. and also, their selfie camera is still unchanged - which is already quite unimpressive from the predecessor.

but physically it's a gorgeous piece of art which is < 200g and has all the high-end specs including great front firing stereo speakers.

dilemma to choose between this and oneplus 9 pro. from the point of view of photography, which would you pick?
