i'm thinking of setting up a sound system as follow:
yamaha SR-B20A + bookshelf speakers Edifier R1280DBs for my living room.
all will be placed in front, no stand.

doable?
Suggest you put all your money into a single product for better sound instead
Occupies less space too

ok, you are right..
i think most likely, i will go for yamaha YAS-109.
can't seem to find anything better or within that range.
my budget is up to $600 and i dont want a subwoofer, minimalist concept..

plus my Mi Box and tv may not able to output that good sounds..
its an old TV from Sharp, but from Japan. only have HDMI

used, i always had the impression that it will be badly abused..
people like myself, love to blast my soundbar..

talking about this, saw someone selling Q800B, brand new for $450
my old TV is 60" but comes with 3 HDMI.

i read, it should be suffice, no HDMI eARC.

Yup q800b ish not bad, but if you want to save abit since your tv no earc I'd recommend the Sonos beam! The dialogue on that one is amazing compared to the Samsung! I realize for the Samsung it sound ok only unless you trigger the Atmos on then it's very good but you need earc for that

i saw in amazon, that there's a HDMI audio extractor, which convert to HDMI eARC.

despite being an old tv, my sharp tv comes with 3 HDMI and i'm using a xiaomi box.
was thinking Mi Box - extractor - soundbar & TV.
doable?

i read good reviews about VIZIO M-Series All-in-One, even better than Sonos beam.

Just connect mibox to sb and passthru video to tv, like that don’t need eARC

Order Sonos sub mini from Lazada today. See whether it pairs well with my beam 2

It should pair well - how much did the price come down to after applying all the vouchers?
I had a friend who helped me buy and bring one over from Australia, paired with my Arc nicely.
