Does anyone have experience on purchasing Honda CB200x with stalling issue ?stall while riding, stalling while neutral. This bike was purchased in February 2022 and started to have stalling issue since 2nd day of usage. The bike has been sent for repair a numerous times and until now the problem is still persist. We requested for exchange another bike or refund and the motorcycle dealer ridiculously offered $11300 (purchased @ $15500) for trade in or else they will keep repairing the bike within their so called 1 year warranty. We will be losing nearly 7k-8k if we wanted to trade in for another bike. The bike was sent to their workshop for nearly 11 times range from 1 day -14 days for each repair. We hope to get some advices from this group on what should we do to protect ourself -as a consumer. Lemon Low cannot help as this bike is used for Food Delivery.
P/S: anyone with the same issue under Honda CB200X. pls pm me.

Seek another views from CASE. The lemon laws should be imposed to the max. This is a case whereby after numerous repairs within warranty period, the same problem still not solved/ rectified. You have a strong case.

CASE dun take up this case as this bike is used for food delivery. They advised us to go Small Claim. But we are not very sure how can Small Claim help. As this motor shop is quite a big player if come to court. We asked to exchange and they said dun have such practise. Wanted us to trade in for new bike. We are asking for 14k refund or / trade in. Anyone can lead us to the right route? Bike is fully paid in cash and is all hard earn money

Then try the small claim first. At least have one direction rather than now headless no direction.

Need to check whether can go small claim since this bike is under 1 year warranty. Really headache facing this kind of issue. 4 months bike losing $4.2k if trade in. Unreasonable

I do not know bikes, i dunno how to troubleshoot.

but you might wan to consider sending to 3rd party workshops to find out what exactly is wrong with the bike and find out if there is any way to permanently fix this issue. Only with this knowledge then u can proceed further.

before u go small claims, maybe its good if u go find those free legal clinic and find out what are your rights as a consumer in this case. maybe bring along u purchase contract, etc etc.

if u r wondering what small claims can do, u can claim repair costs as per ur warranty (that is if a 3rd party workshop is willing to quote and repair the bike to ur satisfaction. check ur warranty terms on how to this. there is usually a process to follow for this. ) you can also claim lost of income/use due to down time of the bike.

i feel the dealer probably knows the fix just that its too expensive or too troublesome, so keep doing some temp fix and hope u give up. just my guess.

good luck and hope u get it resolved.

Why the dealer knows that the bike was used for food delivery? Too late to undo this fact now, but something to take note in future. One of the few occasions in life where honesty backfires.

case know it's for food delivery due to insurance purchased? if not, just claim as consumer.
