Anyone has any thoughts on C815, thought is getting it at $959. Is it cheap for a QLED with a decent sound bar?

Lowest entry point to QLED...yay.
Likely good sound with soundbar built in...yay
No local dimming....Neh
Closest QLED alternative....Samsung Q60.
But I rather buy Sony 49x900f at that price point....

In a weird way..imho maybe more worthwhile to look at tcl c715. I presume you are looking at the parallel importer on carousel? I see c715 at like 769 bucks?
C715 is direct backlit panel vs c815 edge lit.
None of us has seen the tv so I am just comparing specs and price wise.

If you dont require sophisticated smart features, maybe look at panasonic gx800 for accurate colours and hcx chip upsampling.

Hi Gurus

Would like to seek some advise for new tv for my new house.
Was considering the prism e65 until I saw the tcl today.

It seems that the TCL 65C6 is better than the C8 as it comes with HK audio.

Also can anyone confirm if the C8's soundbar is flat or round ? I saw on giant website its round but I remember it flat at giant.

Seems like the c6 is better looking too.

Have been googling around and c6 does not have chromecast and 5ghz wifi. Can anyone confirm ?

just went down to both SCC and Tamps to purchase.

They do not have ready stocks of 55p8m or 50p8s.

Pre-order only (at Tamps). And next stocks arrive in 3 weeks at the fastest. Sigh.
There are still stocks available for 55P8M at Giant online.

C8 supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but the brightness of the panel is slightly lower at 350 nits and comes with built in soundbar from Onkyo (flat type design)

C6’s panel is slightly higher at 400 nits however it only support HDR10/HDR10 PRO. It comes with Harmon Kardon built in soundbar (round type design).

Both come with chromecast and 5ghz WiFi.

Can't wait for 65inch prices to come...

Noob qns, is QLED definitely superior that normal LED? i.e C71 & C81 is definitely better than C8, P8, C6 e.t.c ?
The 65’ is 1699 as per AV quote, which I think not worth.
I’d experience TCL qled, image quality really good but their OS really lag. So I really think not to spend too much on their higher end rather play with their below 1K range more bang for bucks

Agree with richcel.
Looking at tcl because of their pricing below 1k.
No point looking for more bells and whistles which add up to almost another half the tv price but only half baked.
If got more budget, better go direct to samsung qled or lg oled.

Thanks! AV is our local AD? They are also bringing in the OLED series?

Which OLED model did you experience before? I think you'll be the first one here to have own it!

Cool! Aussie have damn good offers now and then (checking ozbargain), goodguys, ebay, jbhifi can sometimes have shocking prices, unfortunately SG doesnt have like this....

I'm asking the carouseller bringing in the 55" C815,c715 now if there are any pricing of 65". Will report back too.

Actually a good place to start price comparison is here:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/

They got the latest models, fairest deals in the market and cheapest prices.

Problem is that they are not based in Singapore. But they do deliver and of course you must pay the GST when the TVs are entering Singapore.

So in terms of the price range, its P8M < P8S or P715 < C715 < C815 for cheaper to more ex or perhaps in the same specs bracket?
