Hi,

My friend's boss asked me to buy jewellery for her daughter's wedding here with estimated cost is 40k$.

He will give money for it. I want to use my credit card to get the miles. Currently i hold :

-DBS Altitude (Visa and Amex version); Amex version still have 50% miles promotion
- Citi Premier Miles
- ANZ Travel Card
- Amex KF Ascend

Credit limit for each card is around 10-12k $

Question :
1. Is it easy to ask for temporary credit limit increase up to 4 x ? i believe using my DBS Amex Altitude Card now is the best way to accumulate miles for local transaction ,correct ?
2. If i cant ask credit limit increase, do you think merchant will reject if i use multiple credit card to pay ?

Thanks

1. Unlikely. Typical exception is wedding dinner. You can try to prepay
2. Merchant should be agreeable to split multiple cards

Merchant usually will agree to split card use since 40k is nt a small amt n not all ppl got such credit limit
