I bought this yesterday, not a fan of black denim. black denim looks like formal pants.

https://www.uniqlo.com/sg/en/products/E418910-000?colorCode=COL69&sizeCode=INS038

Uniqlo selvedge quite comfortable though. i like the rough material. see if i can make till like this

The recent batches are mostly with spandex mixed in and zip fly. I was lucky to hit pretty early series back then still release in 100% cotton with button fly.
Black denim if worn well, the fades can be even more interesting than the usual indigo counterpart. You can google black denim fades for reference.
No right no wrong, denim is supposed to be comfortable and easy to the person wearing so long you enjoy it. :)

I also have a pair of Uniqlo selvedge jeans, but zip and full cotton. Nowadays with spandex built in, I don't buy anymore.

Technically, cotton on low tension weave itself can stretch. I can understand those skinny party jeans may need stretch, but spandex isn't really needed for raw jeans.

I know right... It's quite sian why Uniqlo needs to add spandex to the selvedge series when it usually straight or slimcut. They do it for their skinny series I can understand, but IMO should leave out the selvedge as their more premium jeans...

I have over 50 pairs of selvedge jeans; in fact, I just bought 25 in the past year.

if you like slim soft jeans, can go for Studio D'artisan Suvin Gold, Fullcount 1109 or 1108, Momotaro GTB 1106spz

Yeah, it's like a collection of jeans now, too many to wear. Then again, some jeans were bought more than a decade ago and still in fairly good condition. Unless they don't fit, I seldom sell jeans.

I have jeans from
US brands and US made
Japan brands and Japan made
china brands and China made
swedish brand and Thai made
Japan brands and Thai made
Indonesian brands and Indonesia made

I have jeans in
Black
Dark indigo
Indigo
Natural indigo
Greencast
Green
Persimmon
Beige
Ecru
White
Patched
Shiny
Washed

Jeans from
Zimbabwe cotton
US cotton
Suvin Gold
Silk
Xinjiang cotton
Ivory coast cotton

I just saw a cotton wool denim jeans and thinking whether to buy to try...

Have to know Levi's and Levis Vintage Collection are different things. The later are collectors level are not cheap and of course different quality too.
U are half right, LVC are not cheap but they are however just Levi’s reproduction of the original vintage, there’s niche group of collectors for the LVC too. However the real real collectors level are the real vintage Levi’s. I’m one.

The word vintage is very sensitive to me. lol

I used visit jeansfix to patch fix the burst torns for my jeans when they were still at Raffles Place shop. My Oni Denim butt area both cheeks worn out and threads gave up already. Brought it to their new shop at citylink mall, show it to the staff (owner?) She says can no problem, they have "new technology" threadmatching can do a good job, $160 and at least one month wait due to long queue. I remember previously at Raffles Place few times never cost more than $50!
Ok, guys here. Any alternate recommendations? Preferably in the south or city area, best within <$50. Thank you so much...
can anyone recommend any shop in town that can help repair jeans at a reasonable price
