what do U want to do? or which cities U want to visit? USA is big by the way.
U plan to fly or drive?

driving to buffalo NY is like 2hr, to Detroit is like 4hrs from Toronto.
if U think coming to USA means NYC thats a 8hr drive or 1.5hr flight.
if U plan on coming to USA for just 1-2 days to NYC, U wouldn't have much free time to do anything.

Trips outside Toronto, Niagara Falls and its wine country
Algonquin Provincial Park if you into nature and wild life

keeping a open mind as to where to go. my geography knowledge of anywhere out of Asia is bad. It is my first trip to that part of the world *shy*

As it is mainly a work trip so I am looking at 4-5 days before the event and another 2-3 days after is good enough, hope to explore both Canada and a city in the US (suggestions welcome!), I will be happy enough. partly paid trip plus clear leave. plan to fly around as have not driven overseas before though I have a class 3 license.

planning to go Niagara falls, though not into wine (colleague might be interested) can nice vineyards to recommend for a visit?

I'll look into Algonquin Provincial Park, tks!

will even if U are not into wine, can learnt all about it in the trip.

- Pillitteri Estates Winery (daily tour at 12pm, 2pm, 3pm)
- Inniskillin (Singaporean love this brand)
- chateau de charmes or Peller
- Strewn Winery (nice restaurant onsite)
- Vineland estates (very good restaurant)

http://ncbenchmark.ca/ - a great place to go dine, very popular these days will need reservations.

if U want to bring back North American Ginseng go to the farm - Great Mountain Ginseng Farms.

forty creek whisky distillery is located there. U can find some limited edition bottles that U wouldnt get in SG. there are tour on the weekend.

if U going up to Algonquin can visit Old Quebec City, or Montreal.

Hi going to toronto in jan. any good camping or trekking route to recco?

Not in Toronto, do u drive? I think u are looking at camping after your term. Popular spots pre Covid need to book early. U bringing your camping gear? Tent and sleeping bag?

Short drive

Any camping experience? January would be too cold to camp in North America.

Wild camping? Most campsites would probably be closed in winter.

He or she exchange student, Jan school starts. Not sure if he or she wants to settle down or go camp then settle down
