I read the blog, Japan custom at least for me never check for tax free etc.

I normally check in all my items in my luggage and only hand carry camera stuff

I doubt any custom will do it (Check to see the tax free status)

Remind me of my previous japan trips. Some places really nice and beautiful. Memories...

The pop up cafe of little twin stars and my melody should be very cute ah. The donuts are too cute to eat!

And thanks for sharing. :)

The next day, we suddenly realised that we were all flying back to Singapore on different dates and timing and that if the customs officer check our items at the airport, we are kind of screwed if not all items are present. -> This part never ever ever check.

yep we attempted to google about this customs checking thing but there were very few useful information online. anyway, i eventually asked the airport staff + experienced it myself.

Moving forward, we will never know if the govt might one day discover the loophole..

Glad that you like my entries:)

Yes japan is a beautiful place. Can't wait for my next chance to visit japan again! Hopefully it will be Okinawa or Fukuoka area.

I was a little sad about not being able to dine inside the pop-up cafe as I visited it on a saturday and the queue line was horrendously long =( Bought the take-away donuts as a consolation.

yep. before i went japan i was praying so hard that the scheduled themed cafe would be of a character that i like.. when i found out about the dates for this little twin stars cafe i'm like damn happy.

on the contrary - i haven't been to cafe waiting love cafe yet. i just researched and blogged about the directions. haven't had a chance to visit taiwan.. last trip was in 2010 =(

and yes i like to visit filming locations. always feel super accomplished if i managed to track the places down =P

Hi there, you can read more about my drive itinerary here: http://www.flyhoneystars.com/2015/07/25/9d8n-tokyo-hokkaido-self-drive-july-2015/

ITINERARY IN HOKKAIDO
Day 3
New Chitose Airport (Sapporo) – Hotel AreaOne Obihiro – dinner

(Day 4 was supposed to start off with a 3:30am drive to see Unkai Terrace at Hoshino Resort Tomaru but we met with an expressway closure (only open at 6am) and if we took the alternative route, we would be late for Unkai. Moreover, the probability of sighting was only 30%. We ended up driving back to our hotel after a loop)

Day 5
Shiretoko Five Lakes Tour (guided tour reservations required during summer) – Sounkyo – Hotel Asahidake Deer Valley

Day 6
Takasago Sake Brewery (under renovation but sake-tasting and shop still available) – Otokoyama Sakezukuri Museum – Asahikawa Ramen Village – Mt Asahidake (Ropeway)

Day 7
Patchwork Road – Blue Pond – Farms Chiyoda (Beef Stew) – Rollercoaster/Panorama Road – Farm Tomita – Yuiga-Dokuson (Omu Curry) – Cross Hotel Sapporo – Susukino (Pachinko + Ramen Street)

Day 8
