I am just guessing.. The white one supports phone line and 4 ports. So, I am guessing, those who subscribe to phone line or to the 2Gbps plan, will get the larger white one.

1x wan
4x lan
2x phone

but i'm only on 1gbps plan

just migrated to the new ONU last night. having serious DNS problem. Alot of websites giving me DNS_PROBE_ERR. use cloudflare, google dns and even the default 192.168.1.1 also having the same issue

I called last week when I was changing to a new router and need them to release/renew lease.

Took me around 3-4 mins to talk to technical person and it was resolved in 2-3 mins for the overall reset.

I guess calling at the right time helps.

I just managed to get to their technical support after waiting for 15min. They told me that the modem had DNS mismatched error. They reconfigure and reset it and it seem ok for now.

1gbps but their router set to bridge mode.

Seamless and easy 1min swap-out for me, this morning. Everything is up and running, unbound/pihole is working fine, same IP address, port forwards working as usual, getting 900+mbps up/down.

Yes I'm on Onevoice got the larger white one.

all seemed normal now, static ip checked. took 5mins after rebooting everything to reach 900+mb up/down

Good. Hope my 'upgrade' next week will be just as smooth. Mine is the very old, big and white modem from 5 years ago which takes up a lot of space, which I will be happy to replace with a much smaller one.

No. My case courier just turn up on Fri. Received email on Thurs. Change over was scheduled for Tues morning. Internet disconnect happened at 2 am for me. Changed the modem and Internet was back. No issue.

I'm surprised not everyone is on this thing already. I got this modem upgrade last year in August 2020 after months of internet speed instability. It was caused by the old white Zhone modem. So after a few complaints by me, they offered an upgrade to the old modem which even a failing power adapter can cause the internet speed to be unstable.

This small thing boots up extremely fast. Like in a few seconds (roughly 10s), you are already directly connected to the internet. Love it!
Now, the one thing in my internet setup that is slow to boot up is the Netgear router that I currently have. That's how fast this small modem is.

Before, my Netgear router will already be up and running within 1 minute. But I still have to wait for the Zhone modemto take its time to connect to the internet.

Hope all of you pioneer VQ users can get them to upgrade your modem to this small little guy.
