Bluehost server not in Singapore but i believe Vodien server in Singapore... premium price :o

just curious - does the choice of domain/host provider affect SEO levels? prefer to go with the bigger names like bluehost/godaddy. not sure what are the true advantages of local hosts (other than faster access speeds for local users).

Is there any international company that has servers based in Singapore too?

Hi guys, i'm seeking advice too, for VPS hosting.

I'm un-decided between the HOSTSG and VODIEN on each of their plans as follow:

HOSTSG
Name: BH50
System: Linux +cPanel11 (managed)
Space: 50GB
Drive: HDD
Memory: 2GB
Data Transfer: Unmetered
Bandwidth: Burstable up to 100Mbps
Supported Domains: Unlimited
Email Accounts: Unlimited

Server Uptime: 99.5%
Backup quoted: "daily backup"
Cost: $105.93/mth, $84.53/mth (24 months period)

VODIEN
Name: vpsValue
System: CentOS7 +cPanel (managed)
Space: 30GB
Drive: SSD
Memory: 2GB
Data Transfer: 1TB
Bandwidth: "100Mbps dedicated bandwidth"
Supported Domains: up to 5 domains
Email Accounts: up to 5 email accounts

Server Uptime: 99.9% (Network Level Service Agreement)
Backup quoted: "disaster recover - last 1-day data retention - recovery for vps cluser failure" implies "daily"
Cost: $99/mth

I bold the lines which i think would make a difference. Can you guys advise which one should i pick and why?

If you can do your own system administration, you can consider Amazon LightSail.

Hi guys, i'm seeking advice too, for VPS hosting.

It really does not make sense to have a VPS and Cpanel on it.
Either go for a unmanaged VPS or managed shared hosting with cpanel.
If you want to host multiple clients, then get a reseller shared hosting.

The prices for a VPS + Cpanel license is just stupid.

$100/month for those VPS you have quoted is just crazy pricing considering you can get those specs with linode, digitalocean or vultr for $10-$20/month
and a cpanel license certainly isn't $80/month

Any cheap CPanel web host?

My need is very simple:

- 10 to 20 MB disk space only
- Static web pages, no need PHP/MySQL
- Low traffic, only average 5 to 10 visitors per month expected
- Allows 1 (minimum) to 5 email addresses for my domain

Possible to find a cheap host for $1 or $2 per month for such basic web/email hosting?

Free web hosts may simply cancel an account, or delete files and emails without reason.

Generic tips. Never host your domain name together with your web hosting. You don’t want to be arm wrestled by the hosting company when they can’t meet your expectation.

2nd what kind of website u wanted to host? Just plain static pages that doesn’t require server side dynamic-ness ?

Anyone know if possible to insert: Facebook and Carousell customer reviews on a newly design website. Is there any plugin to support the above feature?

There are plugins developed by a third party developer.. monthly subscription basis, but I think you'll be better off in savings if you hire a developer and make it a one time payment.

Any recommendation for email hosting? I need a corporate email for small biz.

Is the domain included or I need to purchase separately?

Agree with this. I bought the domain name myself instead. .

I recommend Google Gsuite or Rackspace Email cos they are reputable, stable with good deliverability and spam filters. Do not go cheap with email service for business purposes.

Domain is usually not included and it is better to purchase and administer separately to avoid future migration issue.
