Dynacore 9800x3d alone $755 + B850M amazon $290 is $1045 <---- thats roughly same as taobao if i also change to B850M

+$43 for wifi7 <---- not sure if worth it tho

WiFi 7 not worth it for now

Can always upgrade yourself next time by swapping out the M.2 WiFi card.

I did it to my MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi by unscrewing main VRM heatsink. The stock Mediatek MT7922 sucks. Changed to Intel AX210.

200S many issue. The problem with 200S is it is not for gaming. Work wise it is good. You want gaming, either go for older 14900K or the new 9800X3D. Mainly for work, 200S is still good.

Then 9800X3D also burning up down left right on Reddit, why never complain?
Is it??
Asrock mb only right?

9950x3d might be out of budget sadly

Wondering if locally can meet taobao pricing

FYI for such high end build if you buy from Taobao, is no warranty.
Any issue is buy another since you got $ proably isn't a issue for you.
But is a dumb decision just to save that money cuz motherboard
can fail overtime.

Local stock is expensive at least got 3 years warranty any issue
can RMA.
If you don't want to spend too much, forgo 3D chips.

Gigabytre B850M Aorus ELite ICE + AMD Ryzen 9700X - $844

summary.png

Gigabytre B850 Aorus ELite ICE + AMD Ryzen 9700X - $899

Price are from Bizgram.

Take note for AMD Ryzen RAM must be compaitble with the motherboard, avoid using
China RAM else won't boot.
If you don't want to spend too much money just go for non-3D chips.

Than get better RAM like Gskill Trident Z Neo etc.
The way I see your countless thread, you want the best but try to save here and there.
TBH if I want the best I just buy the best parts out there cuz it will give you less problem
and more stability in the long run.

You never encounter what I encounter in my line of work,
quite a number of PCs from Taobao failed or blown.
Parts from Taobao and other sites some are not brand new, some can be recon or from rejected manufacturing or RMA.

These users are the same as you want to save money some end up have to buy a proper PC instead.
Cuz the motherboard burn or the PSU blown.
Like I mention managed your expectations want cheap, don't want to spend too much like this case.
Go for a non-3D chip save you that extra money.

No, any brand can spoil or burn.
It depends on user usage, setup/configuration.
Which is why motherboard always buy locally, 3 years warranty can cover you
if mobo up lorry.

If you buy from Tao Bao or Amazon, is counted no warranty.
For Amazon wise even though you see cheap and got warranty.
The cost of ship the motherboard will make you think twice.

Like recently I ship a spoil MSI Z690 motherboard US set, to and fro shipping
will cost me near $200.
Worth it just to save that extra money?

You see the motherboard less than $500 on Amazon but any issue.
When you ship back you have to pay around $200 for shipping does it make sense?

Hmm...9700X performance compared to 7800X3D?
seems to be going backwards if just focusing on gaming performance, and i got my 7800x3d+mb for definitely lesser than 800 locally then~

Actually i is have no intention to upgrade anymore de
My 2 boys on 7800x3d and 14700kf
2nephews 1 on 14600kf the other on R5 5600G
So i thought i give my existing 13600kf to him then i hoot a better one replace my boys 7800x3d and i take it for myself
Then at least all 4 of them roughly on the same generation specs

Actually i just saw techyard 9800x3d + B650 eagle ax for $955 but its black color haha

Whats ur prev cpu?
I buy from sls. Come with 3yr local warranty by convergent.
I see a boost of about 45 fps with the same gpu on cyberpunk 2077 from my 8700k
Power......

You see what I mean, get a high end 3D CPU but pair with a budget board.
Issue with budget board is the VRM can get hot when pair with higher end CPU.
Long term wise the board will fail, I got a couple of dead budget motherboard when
using higher end chips like Ryzen 7 or Intel i7.

For that chip at least you must get Aorus line not anything lower.
Gigabyte motherboard range like this.
- Aorus (Mid to high end)
- Gaming X Budget gaming board <-
- Eagle Budget board
- DS3H Super Budget usually used by Aftershock

I think like you say best don't upgrade, later you upgrade and get a cheap motherboard.
You won't get the full benefit of the 9800X3D.
FYI my recent build for someone I know he is also using 9800X3D for his build.

But the motherboard I recommend was Gigabyte Aorous Master, better VRM and
better DRAM support.

Because like read alot of negative things about core ultra online

But not really sure 13600 to 14900 and significant difference or not

Amd 9000series more expensive also right?
I dun tik u will feel any diff since u used 13600. Same as me when I upgraded from 10700 to 12700kf
Maybe u try upgrade to a higher core eg. 16C/32T. Probably u will feel abit diff.

Actually intel or amd all are the same. It just depends what u r using it for.
For true gamers, all will go for AMD : just for the few FPS
For developers, most will choose Intel which they feel more stable.

So come to the bottom, just go for what u need will do.

For games higher core count doesn't necessarily increase gains. Most games are still pretty much max 8-10 core maxed out. Explains why a 9800X3D with 8/16 can still best an Intel flagship with 16/32 without much effort. Architecture and IPC still is a major driving factor for most games.

Why not. My b650m mortar runs 9950X or 9950X3D no sweat. Just update the bios to AGESA 1.2.0.3A can Liao. I abuse this board more than my other board and it’s still running strong lol

It depend on your case if you are using ATX than get ATX.
Usually ATX will have more expansion slots than MATX.

Don't care about the WIFI 7 thingy unless you have WIFI 7 router.
FYI if the PC/Device is further from router, usually the WIFI will drop
to WIFI 5.

WIFI 5 will have longer reach than WIFI 6 or 7.
Example PC in bedroom, router in living room.

only if u camp laz/shp sales and vouchers.
+$43 for wifi7 <---- not sure if worth it tho
if ur house going to or already have wifi7, sure. otherwise just get wifi6e and ownself change the wifi card when home wifi upgrade, usually able to get wifi7 cards around $20 nowadays and will get cheaper over time.

just bought some dirt cheap china ddr5, works fine with expo.

if local distro dont straight up reject cos of excuse like "oxidation" :s22: think the only part that is worth buying locally is psu.

for amazon, should at least have some doa protection as got return window, so in a way better than taobao. of course, once that return window expires then is no warranty like u said.
Hmm...9700X performance compared to 7800X3D?
in cpu limited scenarios, 78x3d is faster as 9700x is barely faster than 7700x. but if ur games gpu heavy or u game at 4k then cpu generally no need to worry.

yes pretty decent budget board, just remember to update the bios.
both the 7800X3D n 9800X3D both draws the same power right?
no, the 98x3d draws noticeably more power, though still very reasonable (<100w). its just that the 78x3d is that efficient, so much so it draws less power than ryzen 5 parts in gaming while delivering more performance.
