Anyone knows where I can find Samsung B-Die DDR4 Ram? I took a certain amount of time to google every ram from here https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/ Seems like they are no longer in stock or obsolete otherwise might have moved on to DDR5. I keyed in the model number sold on Amazon and Shopee. Not a single one is a Samsung B Die ram.

For your info, Samsung B Die ram are generally cost around $100 more due to its low latency, fast boot times and stability when overclocked. They are perhaps the most stable ram for AMD Ryzen.

Don't mind paying $100 more for reliability if I can find it. Some components like PSU, motherboard brand, Ram is best not to cheap out.

i just do a quick check again seems all b-die sold by amazon is depleted and mostly coming from 3rd party with very expensive prices.

just personal opinion, with the x3D (5700x3D & 5800x3D) cpu coming into market, b-die RAM timing on amd system is no as important as it seems for now.

i do have fun with b-die in the pass however currently using 5800x3D i have been happy using the crucial ram running just 3733 CL16.

3733 is the sweet spot for Ryzen 3000. I would have thought you should be able to do 3800 CL16 on the 5800X3D?

some CPUs got 1900MHz FCLK hole, can only do below and above 1900MHz, but not at 1900MHz.. And since it's usually not stable above 1900MHz, most end up setting the FCLK at 1866MHz.

Thanks, l will remember this when I switch to 5800X3D.

I put it very simple for you, kits that have AMD Ryzen sticker usually use Samsung Memory IC.

Example:
Gskill Trident Z Neo

Corsair Vengance LPX AMD Ryzen

Kits like this usually uses Samsung Memory IC, B Die wise really depend on the part number.
Corsair one you can check using the version number on the back.

Certain version uses Samsung but to my knowledge except the AMD Ryzen optimized kit.
Majority of Corsair RAM are using Micron or Samsung depending on the version.
If you ask me is there any difference?

Intel CPU isn't picky with either Micron or Samsung, AMD Ryzen for very long Samsung
RAM tends to perform well and run stable.
Which is why the Gskill Trident Z Neo uses Samsung Memory IC.

Both of these RAM you have to buy online, shops don't carry them anymore
especially Gskill Trident Z Neo.
Another thing about such memory is by default, it will run at DDR4-2666 than DDR4-2133
for Intel optimize kit.

B-Die is already out of production since a long time ago, so unless you buy second hand it is probably not available at a reasonable price. the amount of performance you can pull out of that is rather low and most b die are not likely to let you overclock that much unless you win the silicon lottery.

Just get the Hynix DJR or Micro Rev E. Just remember this, you need to strike lottery on the CPU, the correct motherboard + the b Die to extract all the value out of it. I got the last 2 right and fail at the CPU so all I get is 1866 that is all.

That will not help him, samsung have b, d, e die. Only the b die falls under the style he is looking for. Even within b die there is a lot of binning. The crap bin is going to be just as bad as the normal ram.

not worth getting b die, better just aim for dual rank if after performance. compatibility is not an issue anymore, plus amazon got return policy.

If you have to pay a significant premium, then there is no point to get Samsung B die variants. It won’t make a meaningful performance improvement. For DDR4, you probably almost maxed out what an AMD processor can support. Lower timings or higher clock speed will not improve performance materially. And don’t forget that you may not reuse these pair of ram going forward as new systems will be mostly DDR5 based.

Somehow I managed to find a B Die RAM here. Just ordered it and hopefully the model number corresponds to what's stated.
