Singapore is opening up. If you need new coat to travel overseas or new clothes, now may be the best time when tailors are not too busy. Dec to Jan, the tailors will be busy with orders for new year and CNY clothes and work in office may resume. By then, I think there will be inflation of prices to cope with demand. Also, if you have not noticed, price of wool has increased and this till trickle down to consumers.

Why you keep repeating this message?
His agenda very obvious what. Push his fabric sales and a certain tailor which he seems to have a vested interest in. Oblique suits ftw so long as you don't mind looking like a clown lol.

expected this reply from a frog in the well on Oblique suits.

Honestly, some of the seamstresses and old cutters are retiring/moving to other jobs due to covid and when demand picks up, you can expect inflation and supply chain issues because the manpower supply has reduced. In fact, the price of tailoring in year 2021 is cheaper than year 2019, which is unusual if not for covid.

Year 2021 has a products and commodities supply chain issue. Year 2022 will be the year of services supply chain issue when covid restrictions are removed.

If you can afford it, meiko. He's the only "shifu" on the list.

Price of suit depends on the following

Fabric choice. Better fabric, more expensive. If you are extremely tall, more fabric required, may be more expensive too. Fabric = the lining and the outer layer.

Workmanship in terms of hours or effort. More hours if you want full canvas construction, surgeon's cuffs, pic stitching, Milanese buttonhole etc which require more hand work.

Overheads and profit of shop: e.g rental and profit margins.

A 3 piece suit can cost $500 to $50000 for Scabal Diamond Chip...

Hi, just visited Lai en today, as usual, business very good - first time visiting in 3 years.

Prices wise shirts still same price, I did the easy iron ones for 78 + topup 10 for mop buttons.

Not sure about the more atas fabric. Mdm neo still the one measuring.
I tried lai en in 2019 before.
Personally have high hope due to all the good reviews.

however, outcome shirt wasn’t the best fit.
Service wise is soso. Buyer needs to envision and instruct to them what to construct.

price point is soso, can find similar price range tailor in central area.
Just my 2 cents

u need to temper expectation.

lai en isn't a tailor, they are a shirt manufacturer, so u have to know what u want, otherwise they will just follow standard.

easiest is u go tailor 1 proper shirt that u like, bring to them, then they will copy

Looking to alter some jeans, pants and shirts. What are some reasonable-priced tailor? I used to go to Meng Yee.
