i'm extremely obsessed (over 160kg)
if i buy a cheap no-brand office chair that is ~$100 – $300
within 3 months the seat sponge will be flattened
and it becomes too painful and comfortable

is IKEA Markus a good chair?

looking at their website
ikea.com/sg/en/p/markus-office-chair-vissle-dark-grey-50261151/

Foam:
Polyurethane foam 35 kg/cu.m.

are there any other thicker and more dense foams?

Didn't work for me, very easy to bottom out the foam padding and I'm only 54KG.

About 1 year? Bottom out the foam pigu of course pain. Changed it out for an Aeron since I was getting lower back pain as well. I've been using the Aeron for the past 2 months, no complains so far.

End of day don't sit too long, if you sit too long even Aeron cannot save you.

I bought mesh chair with metal legs for more strength, it's very comfy and airy, I only 45kg tho. Not sure if mesh chair can hold bigger people. I think can go to shop to ask for weight limit.

yes bro
you know exactly how i feel
have you managed to solve this problem?
I went to a local furniture shop under the HDB block and the uncle recommended me this. This chair cushion very thick, and got lumbar support. I sometimes tend to squat on my chair when my work get too intense. So far the cushion still very sturdy. But the size a bit small for you i think.

Have you tried those secret lab chairs? I think they look quite sturdy too. But I’ve never own one before. So can’t comment much.
