The irony is that they probably don't think that they are accountable for the sinkies so therefore why should they be questioned by the people on the street?

Who are you to ask them unscripted questions that they did not have time to send them to the thousands of government bonded scholars paid to provide them with a perfectly nuanced and well balanced uncommitted answer that served no purpose other than to either convince you or confuse you.

Because they are not the subject experts nor do they bother to take the effort to learn more about their jobs

They are typical of most scholars - they just get parachuted in to head a unit and then move out in a few years to another one - so why they bother to learn more about the job they are supposed to do

And if they did it too well, they will just benefit the next appointee
