it's okay. thanks for your suggestion. I just bite the bullet and go with the BT10. I not good enough to think so much. Just follow what experts like you recommend hahaYou may have to post the floor plan, with details of the location of the ONT, LAN ports in the rooms if any, and the planned placement location of the Archer BE805 if you opt for single router.
It all depends on the floor plan and placement.
Some floor plans make it nearly impossible to cover the full flat with decent WiFi performance.
Found this reddit thread and in the comments someone said the adapter worked with his notebook.I'm looking to upgrade my older notebooks with the Intel BE200 Wi-Fi 7 module, but I've run into a compatibility issue. The BE200 uses an E-key, while my notebooks have A-key M.2 slots.
Has anyone here tried a workaround or adapter solution to get around this? I’d love to hear your experience or suggestions.

Not sure if this will work for your notebook.
BE200 doesn't work for most AMD systems and some notebooks have a whitelist for Wifi cards.
I’ll stick with my AX200 modules for now. I’m currently getting good speeds on Wi-Fi 6 with a 160MHz channel, so no rush to upgrade.
I have upgraded all my notebooks to AX200 Wi-Fi 6, even for a 2016 Thinkpad.Same here.
We have 4 Acer laptops at home, only two are with WiFi 7. I have two USB WiFi 7 adapters (BE6500 rated) but they are not supporting 320MHz channel bandwidth so not really much faster than Intel AX200/AX201 WiFi 6 adapter.
1) 2017 model Acer Swift 3 (kind of retired), Intel Core i5-8250U CPU, 8GB/256GB, upgraded to Intel AX200, Windows 11 24H2. Fast enough, no desire to upgrade. Some of the plastics of the laptop is anyway falling apart.
2) 2021 model Acer Swift 3, Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU, 16GB/512GB, built-in Intel AX201. Fast enough, no desire to upgrade. Dual boot Windows 11 24H2 and Linux.
3) Two 2024 model Acer Swift Go 14 laptops, Intel Core Ultra 125H CPU, 16GB/1TB, built-in Intel Killer BE1750 WiFi 7 adapter (Intel BE200 chipset based).

Other than Asus China WiFi 7 routers, it is a bit difficult to recommend China WiFi 7 routers now, at least not for the mid-range ones, since TP-Link HB710 (dumped by Starhub users, S$192 or lower) and Archer BE805 (dumped by M1 users, below S$300) local versions with 10G ports and 6GHz band can be pretty cost effective.
Anyone know if something happen to Linksys ?
Was window shopping in challenger and could not find any Linksys router

I think Linksys is kind of de-emphasizing Singapore market.
1) If you look at Linksys Global Website (Singapore website is gone), almost all the products have been EOLed except a few Mesh solution and Unmanaged switches.
Velop Pro 7
Velop Pro 6E
Velop Micro 7
Velop Micro 6
You can also look at Linksys EOL page.

2) But they still sell some product in the Shopee and Lazada official Store. No WiFi 7 product though.

Velop 6E (AXE5400)

Why don't you connect using LAN for meshing between the routers?Hi experts,
I just signed up for a 10gbps plan and have a Asus BE-88U on the first floor with TUF AX-5400 on the second floor as a AIMesh router.
The TUF AX-5400 router is connected through LAN to my son's desktop. However the signal between the 2 routers are usually weak -82dbm so he's not able to get good speed on the desktop.
Will getting a WiFi7 network adapter for the desktop help to improve the speed?
Or are mesh routers like Asus BT10 my only other option to improve the speed?
It's alot slower, due to electrical noise and distance. Not all homes is suitable, especially if you live in Maisonette or multi stories home. I have personally tested and played around with Powerline many years ago when it entered the market. For a lot of folks with Mesh , just curious, have you tried using a powerline solution to solve your problem?
Thanx! I just got mine. Gonna try it out and see. Hopefully it works .It's alot slower, due to electrical noise and distance.
