You don't bullsheet la, china labour cost so low that it's much better to hire humans to do those jobs than to develop robots and deploy them to sites. Even deploying robots to sites need humans to do, why don't the humans who deploy the robots just do the job instead?

Analog jobs will be safe, digital jobs are getting replaced by AI.

They say AI can replace junior coders but really meh? Maybe I am a frog in a well but with only ChatGPT you can't really do anything with it if you don't know how to code in the first place? This prompt engineer stuff looks like hype only?

Also, the AI can't do anything newer than their data? Let's say some API got some patch, AI can't handle it to update usage of the API? Do they have a super AI in their basement that can search internet? What if ppl don't post on Stack Overflow anymore to protect their ricebowl? AI can't really think right?

Also, why is all the companies firing ppl because of AI also hiring a lot of overseas Indians? AI only need power to run, like free employees right? Why need Indians to replace engineers? Free is better than paying salaries right, I thought AI can code already?

Yes . U need to understand coding to code with AI. But how many languages or knowledge domains a single human programmer is proficient in previously? One , two where that person can reliabily work in? With chatgpt, a single person can do multiple programmers job. You also don't need years of expertise. Just know enough to code with AI assistance. One programmer with the ability to maximize and utlise AI will replace 9 other programmers.

That's where the job losses are. U don't need many coders anymore.

This one AI can never take over my biz as it cant attend trade shows, meet suppliers etc. But I use AI all the time to interact with my customers. Also, I used to pay to get marketeers and copywriters to write materials for my product brochure, social media posts and launch. Now I turn to AI to do it, they can even design the entire brochure for me. I think NTU can cease their marketing degree course, it's obsolete.

Very hard. Unlike stock brokers which died with the internet, prop agent is not a middle man job it is a sales job. AI can take over accountant, admin, tech jobs even teaching, but not sales because it does not have a captive audience.

AI also still doesn't lie very convincingly, although that might change in the future.

Ai is not a hype .. it can solve many tasks fast and lesser man power .. soon ft will also be replaced by ai in factories and plants… let along sinkies .. all these so called “jobs” by Pap will hardly exist anymore . Moreover companies will close down instead of hiring more people once the industry is replaced by Ai .

Thanks for the heads up. That's why I am using AI ever more to research on market trends so I can constantly redefine and upgrade my USP.

I used to pay market researchers for the trending reports, but now AI can do it just as good if not even more concise.

Imo can, but is replace traditional meaning of junior dev.

Llm can extract content & context from the codebase easily, don't have to mentor and less likely to make mistakes

As senior i know what i need done and can ask ai to do it while I review the code (probably can automate with llm to pre check also).

The new generation of jr dev should be able to use ai well and handle many tickets at once

For the india part I don't know. But pple think of IT always think of india for some reason.
