Update. Mediatek Dimensity 9000 seems a very potential chip! It performs better than snapdragon 888 and consumes a lot less power than snapdragon 8 Gen 1! The down sides are slightly weaker graphic and no mm wave (only USA uses them) Its manufactured by TSMC. No wonder so powerful!
this IV kinda ticked most of my boxes except:
- a smaller sensor for the telephoto lens which means lesser quality (which I think is to compensate the increase in zoom)
- still 12MP (as compared to 'standard' 48MP with quad binding) perhaps to reduce the processing time for frame-intensive imagery
- heat issues with the gen 1 chips (sounds serious enough)
really like the form factor (weight, size) and the pureness of the camera functions (shoot like a camera and not just relying on AI).
