Can class 3 license (which stated can only drive max 3000kg) rent those 7m+ 6 berth motorhome over there?

my apology if this is asked and answered before, can't find a definite answer though, and the email reply from Maui was pretty vague.
Hi, was about to ask the same question. Have already paid my deposit for the campervan until I saw one post from TripAdvisor stating that it’s against the law to drive more than 3000kg for Singapore license. Does anyone have any experience renting a 6 berth from Maui?

I booked a Britz Frontier 6. When I picked up, I was given a Maui River. So, no problem for me. At least I wasn’t stopped by their police

May I check again, have anyone rented a normal sedan in NZ just using our SG class 3 licence without the International Driving Permit from AA?

Someone asked NZTA before, and the official answer is not allowed.

looks like OK for Singaporeans from the way I read it. I am heading there for about 2 weeks.

How did you two read that there is no impact on Singaporeans? putting aside that a1v1n_'s travel period is before start of new rule.

This is levied on those visa waivered countries and yes, it affects us.

I did applied for IDP, in the end... no need.

Stopped by police for speeding... no need also.

Oh ya... please remember to slow down when entering each town. I was trying to peel a banana and entered a town while doing so, not slowing down fast enough. No excuse for that. Had a good chat with the police though, he was friendly.

saw this sign while googling around NZ. i guess this means "first come first serve" in a way and to give way to whoever is already on the bridge?
