IMHO.
I think if travel by car e.g. SUV, will be much faster than campervan. Campervans would need to search for parking sites and do some logistics. My trip to New Zealand South Island using a MPV, a few of the motels, I just drive into the parking lot right outside my room. :ROFLMAO: Quite time saving. Not sure about the North.
Staying in motels need time to check-in, check-out, pack, unpack. Stay in campervan if want to save time on logistics can use campsite toilet for shower and WC. Anyway I don't think the time difference between the two options is a lot. The main advantage of a campervan is flexibility in itinerary.
