I have never calculated the point earning based on calculated loss as I do win sometime and still earned point.

However I do agree that there is possibility that the calculation could be related to the HA. This is probably why slots play earn point faster than table.
Let me try and explain what is the 'calculated loss' and 'HA' in the casino.

If you flip a coin 100 times you can say there is a 50-50 outcome of head and tail happening.
But in everyday real life for every 100 flips this 50-50 outcome occurs only in 12% of the times.
Other times you will get 40+/50+ either way.
So if you bet on the side that occurs more than you win.

In the casino for Slots the casino has set the machine , the RNG (Random Number Generator) to be precise at about 10% HA. Your 'calculated loss' will be 10% of your total bet.
In other words if you bet $10,000 you will lose $1,000. Theoretically, but the casino do very well on these figures.

I am very well aware of these. But as mentioned before, point will still be awarded to you even if you win. or loss.

'Calculated loss' or HA could be what used by Casino to Comp you additional Perks like Entertainment Credit or Cabin Upgrades etc.

Were you able to choose your machine from those linked in tournament during the first prelim round or was it allocated to you?

Chances are many of the winners could have been preselected if is allocated to you.

I recalled joined one on Virgo long ago when the tournament was held on Deck 12 Galaxy of the Star. You will choose from a stack of backfaced cards to determine which machine to play. This I agreed is pure luck.
My previous experience. Machine was allocated by their system upon registration and a print out slip indicated machine number and my time slot.
I don't think pre-select machine is allowed and it is unnecessary too. The casino knows which machines to allocate to their "short-listed winners" upon registration.

Pre-select as in the machine number printed is not first come first serve but one already pre-allocated by them to you.

Next time when you print the slip just take note of the one before and after you to see if numbers are in running sequence.

Definitely not running sequence because I remembered very clearly the people queuing in front and behind me were Aunties but during the tournament, my left were 2 uncles and right side was a gentlemen who indeed was the third prize winner. We played the same timing same amoutn $8.80, mine was East Ocean Dragon and his was Pure Diamonds. I hit my free spins with 3 scatters and his FS was awarded by "flying Choy Sun". Mine re-triggered with 2 scatters and his re-triggered was by flying Choy Sun again. The end result was obvious different, my 58fs paid $300+ his 30fs paid $6k. Was it pre-allocated? Probably yes, or maybe not because he was so excited till he jumped off his seat when he re-triggered the fs.

I strongly believe winners are pre selected. Had an elderly lady friend who frequently lost 20 30k every month for one year and she is also the first person I know to win 2 slots tournaments in a row.

That's gamble. High risk investment. You only get some chance when you throw in more!

Unfortunately GD is not licensed by any gambling jurisdiction so they can do all sorts of tricks.

For MBS and RWS the law here says at least one 'configuration' for Slots must be set at 10%.

Also the HA cannot be varied when the patron is playing the machine which they can do with the 'server' based Slots that they have. This means that they can set a low HA and increase the HA as you play on and eventually you lose most if not all the money that you had. This would be considered as cheating.

Genting Dream is not old cruise ship. It was launched in end 2016 and is the only ship from Genting Group currently deployed to sail from Singapore.

Few months ago they started to allow passengers to eat as much and as many time they wish in the inclusive Restaurants. You can now eat at Lido Buffet for Lunch and go to Dream Dining Chinese Restaurant for another round.

Also there is a 24hrs snack counter at LIDO which have french fries , pizza, coffee etc.

You can also try Blue Lagoon where they have $1 supper & free chinese tea from 11pm to 1am which is quite ok.

Compare to RCC Voyager of the seas which was built in 1998. Genting Dream is definitely newer.

Where to book is the cheapest? From tour groups like WTS Travel or direct from the website?

The Price is quite 'fixed' by Dream Cruises but try to compare 2 to 3 sites for best prices and discounts. Some Credit Cards do have promotion like 2-to-go or 1-for-1 or Birthday month or free Cabin Upgrade.

Do take note that most Prices quoted may exclude Port Charges ranging from $50 to $130, and Gratuity of $21/day for Balcony and lower category cabins, and on Per Pax basis.

Yes Natas 02-04 Aug. I book the flash sales 3 days ago through WTS. I was told it is Natas sales rate. Can phone WTS as they may still be available now although not advertised anywhere. Or else wait for Natas.
The rate is superb.
