well you never hear what Mr Gan said.... The more widespread the more they will downgrade to yellow.. You cannnot contain it... Even safra and science park also got cases.
We might be on different wavelengths.
No I did not hear what Mr Gan said.
He was not talking about GD or Quantum. Right.

As I follow all the news about the virus and cruises around the world it is my opinion that at the end of the day the Singapore Government may conclude that it better for SG to bar all upcoming cruises from the two ships.
That will surely stop the spread of the virus into SG. Right.

Looks like there is another 'diamond princess' saga developing.
It is the 'Grand Princess' now.

For those of you who would like to follow this news you can click on this link.

You may want to watch the California Governor press conference here

https://www.pscp.tv/CAgovernor/1MYxNkDvBvRKw

You have to wait a few minutes before the start of the video.

I just don't think the Singapore Government would allow anything close to this to happen here in Singapore.
differences between those princess cruises and GD and Qots here.

1) GD and Qots are homeported here, in Singapore.

2) We will more likely to be exporting covid into the ships, not from the ship into Singapore.

3) If quarantine needs to happen, the government here is unlikely to let the quarantine take place on the ships. Instead, our government will welcome all passengers and house them in designated quarantine chalets for foreigners, and let residents self quarantine at home.

The thing that puzzle me the most now is 'Why did DC cancelled all cruises on the Explorer Dream from Mar 1 to Apr 25.

Without sounding as an 'alarmist' the only sense I can guess about this is 'virus'.

No, only GD and Quantum homeport in SG.

This MY newspaper says blanket ban for all cruise ships. This would be the end of GD and Quantum then.

P.S. This is what I posted two days ago.

Haha

Our focus all along been on genting cruiseline and rcl, but we missed out on costa cruise.

I rem we are allowed to book for costa fortuna cruises since last yr but dun recall such long trip that extends for 14 days.

And i never expect that costa still decided to cruise when both genting n rcl had already stopped

By right, since cruise ships are not allowed to dock at any promised ports, consumers shd be entitled to cash refund since non-performance of sales contract.

Just not sure if any exclusion clauses included

Anyway, any idea if aegeon still sailing?

Maybe genting will become another aegeon and keep on cruisin on open seas but on shorter durations instead.

Of coz all of us hope that all cruises will be cancelled till at least end apr so that we are able to get back refunds
