US help.

Hello!

Travelling to the US in mid-march. Planning to visit Orlando, New York etc etc. Haven't really decided on which city to go too.

Initially planned on going to vegas, california etc but they're a tad too far away. 5 hours flight from NY to Vegas?

What are some good travel sites that I can use to help plan my accomodation and itenary?

Any must visit places in ny/orlando/other cities. Like factory outelts, warehouse stores etc?

Thanks!

cheap factory outlet shopping:
http://www.tangeroutlet.com/
http://www.premiumoutlets.com/

tripadvisor is also a good place to do some research on what are the best attractions and places to visit for each city. good luck!

btw it would be best to rent a car cos taxis would be inconvenient and expensive to get around.

google is the good site to help u plan where to go what are the must see.

how many days U going?
mid march it is still cold up in NYC.

USA is big, flying east to west, north to south just waste alot of time.
don't expect to cover USA and hit all the major cities in just 1 trip.

depending what U wanna do.
Orlando itself can take 7days.
There are lots of things to do in Florida.

NYC too! some spend over 5 days on the city.

yeah started reading up on tripadvisor quite a bit.

ahh. what about buying those like 1 day mrt/bus passes? would parking be a problem in the cities as i've never been there and I would completely rely on a gps and a map.

thanks! :)

going for about 15 days or so. +-.

hmm, thats why I dont intend to cover los angeles/vegas/etc this time round as it'll be too far away.

i'll be flying in to new york. so from there I can visit florida and orlando?

this trip mainly for some sightseeing, visit those attractions, intend to take a day or 2 trip to niagara falls too. shopping of course.

btw, will most stores be selling like winter clothing if i were to go in march?

thanks man!

Suggest you dedicate either West or East to a single trip.

Flying from one side to another (say NY to LA) is not cheap

GPS + car rental is recommended.
Parking in cities would not be cheap...but maybe what u could do is to get a hotel outside of the city with free parking...then in the city itself u can just do some walking, etc instead of looking for parking lots.

i cannot imagine not driving in the USA if you are going to be there for 15 days.

Niagara Falls - 45 mins flight from JFK :)

NYC - Shopping, Central Park, Statue of Libery and a Braodway show are the must-dos!

Shopping @ Macy's & Premium Outlets
Central Park will take up 1 whole afternoon of walking
Statue of Liberty - http://www.statuecruises.com/
Broadway show - http://www.tdf.org/TDF_ServicePage.aspx?id=56 or http://www.broadway.com/

up in northeast still selling winter clothes.

15 days flying into NYC, sight seeing stick to Northeast I say.
NYC, Niagara, DC, Philly 15 days about there already.
want to see white house, time to write into US Embassy to make request already.

Orlando to see disneyworld and Universal studio thats a good 5 days.

march in Niagara still cold, no lake of the mist ride.

no need to drive in NYC, Philly, DC map is enough.

u can take chinatown bus to Niagara cheap but long. have nite bus is good.
rent a car in Niagara to drive to downtown Niagara on the lake and explore vineyards. lots of free tasting and tour.
if u love ice wine thats the place to go. no GPS needed.

i think JetBlue offers very very cheap flights to Niagara...

Niagara Falls (US side) - http://www.niagarafallsstatepark.com/default.aspx

i prefer to buy all my tickets before arriving, but you can try your luck snagging last minute cheap tickets

I took a bus tour from New York City to Niagara Falls. It entailed a night's stay by the falls, a night visit to the Canadian side, a ride on the Maid of the Mist and sight-seeing in the countryside along the way.

How much did you pay in total?

I'm going mid/end march and I think the maid of the mist wont be operational?
