It all depends on yourself mah. How would we know your spending needs.

You calculate and estimate yourself. food is between sgd3 to sgd10 or even higher depending on what you eat. You estimate yourself then multiply by the number of meals and you budget yourself how much shopping you want to spend and plus all the admission fee and tour and driver fee, accomodation and etc.

for our case, for 7D6N - 2A2C, we don't eat expensive food and do much shopping and we change SGD850 and balance of SGD100+ when we returned.

FYI, that time i went the exchange rate is not good, 7800. I went in December 2012.

I will be going to Ubud from 11-14 Aug. Could you recommend me some drivers info? I have heard Krishna and Ketut are quite popular here, do they operate in Ubud too, what's the hourly rate?

Is Ubud area is walkable from Jl. Gootama to Jl Sriwedari to Monkey forest etc? Or we would need to hire a driver to move around there?

Appreciate your help
I think all drivers are the same as long as you are not fussy. To me just tell the driver that you want him to drive safe, be punctual and just go to the designation you want will do.

If you stay at Ubud area, dun want to hire a driver, you can call a taxi also. I think driver charge by half day or full day.

I used Krishnan's friend - Wish. He is easy going and not calculative and most important he is a safe driver as I have 2 children with me. He followed our itinerary.

Ketut and Krishnan may be good but be careful when they introduce another driver. Some of them will send you to all the expensive places for seafood, spa, oleh oleh ,etc where they can earn comm. We asked the driver to send to jimbaran, then he stopped at one of the shop whose charge almost 2x lia's cafe. We just ordered alaka bcaz the price is still reasonable but still expensive. Next we asked to send to massage shop, he sent us to spa where 1hr massage charge for 35USD. We just walked off and asked him to drop at kuta area where there are a lot of shops charge only 60k rupiah. My driver is introduced by one of this 2 guys.

Oh, is it? I didn't know that.

Krishnan intro a driver to me - Mr Wish but he is very good leh. A honest and humble guy.

But Wish doesn't handle Singapore Market, he handles Russian market.
