I watch part of the first episode while eating my lunch at work and I quickly switched to another drama, before I totally lost my appetite from all the blood.

usually first episode is 家破灭国 to get the plot rolling

but this one , before the audience build a bond with the little girl ....
the zombie father slow motion was hard to sit through ,
same for the underwater scene , kids swordplay in flower ........
I fast forwarded all 3

The CGI bluescreen are quite near to reality , example the pavilion by the lake you can see it's fake but the grey color tone blend in and doesn't stand immediately out as shiny reflective fake
improved over the years

the problem is the chapter subplots damn boring , had to fast forward when the extra characters talking or flashback , totally not interested .... only want to see the main 2 group progress

this was the best scene in the ending theme that captured my attention ,
but quite misleading because it was just a random flashback scene and no description of learning super hearing to block attack like other wuxia novel with deeper logic

the scriptwriter lazy don't want to film or explain 3 years of growth ,
just jump ahead then use a few flashbacks to fill the the gap , like that shortcut no need to have proper smooth flow of storytelling

the flashbacks have dull color palette to mimic traditional watercolor painting , this was noted by their press release

about halfway onwards I lost patience and fastforward all the side character's romance
