Thanks all for the information.
really useful.
Will be using this omate watch as a fitness tracker, hope the strap can survive the sweat....
At the same time, will be installing MOVES which could potentially replace my fitbit flex :)

still waiting for my watch ... :s22:

Hi, so share your findings on the fitness tracking ok? Thanks

guys who pm me asking how to get the watch set up on the secure ROM, I just followed the instructions posted here to the letter:

[ROM] Unified 1/8 1900/2100 Unrooted Secured Tuned Stock - xda-developers

Instructions:

1.Download
2.Extract contents to watch (zip contains ROM, 1900
Baseband, 2100 Baseband)
3.Reboot into TWRP recovery
4.Flash ROM
5.Wipe
6.Flash PROPER BASEBAND (1900 or 2100)
7.Reboot

Silly question here :D
I have completed 1, 2 and installed TWRP.
How to proceed with 3? I dont see TWRP menu on the Omate.
Do i need to run MTKDroid Tools again to get to the TWRP Recovery menu?

If i recall, do the following:

Turn off your Omate Truesmart (make sure it has much more than 50% battery as it will not boot into TWRP recovery otherwise as a safety feature).

Hold both the Power and Home buttons until the screen lights up.

At the bottom of the screen, you should see 2 lines of text:

The first line should state to press the Power (Upper Button) to boot into Recovery.

The 2nd line should state to press the Home (Lower Button) to boot into Factory Mode.

Follow the instructions for the line that states to boot into Recovery, and press the corresponding button.

It should then start loading into the TWRP Recovery.

Let me know if it works for you :)

Subsequently, when you have the Secured Rom flashed, then you can get it Rooted, and use other Apps/shortcuts to reboot straight into TWRP instead of doing it the buttons way :)

Please make sure you also disable the Quick Boot option in Settings -> System -> Accessibility -> Quick Boot, prior to shutting down the TrueSmart and trying to boot into recovery.

Thanks. It works.Kum sia

Try going to the Truesmart when you have USB connected, under the Status Bar, you should see USB Connection Mode/Type.

Change that to MTP instead of the default.

You should then see it appear in Windows Explorer as X21 or something and should be able to copy over.
