Question It look like you don't have the permission to save changes to this files

I had a friends who wanted to trim his video on "Movies & TV" a default application provided by Microsoft. Unfortunately his computer got this error prompt "It look like you don't have the permission to save changes to this files" . The solution that i've done below doesn't work.

- Enable full control permission to files and folders
- Enable super administrator on computer in attempt to trim the video
- Reformatted the PC to original status (many windows errors, freezing issue, etc)
- Changed the owners rights in security tab
- Re-installed the Movies & Tv apps
- Did sfc scannow , no violation
- Tried few of his video on my pc, same issues
- Tried changing the file name extension to .mp4

The extension file name he were trying to trim/edit was .avi . In the past he told me that he able to edit .avi . But this time he not able to trim due to this errors. Hope your appreciation could help out.

You have to take over ownership of the file

Method 1 - https://www.addictivetips.com/window...of-filefolder/

Method 2 - https://www.blogsdna.com/2159/how-to...-windows-7.htm

No options for that in windows 10. even don't have the options to go group policy to enable that settings.

Yes this was already tried. don't work. The file is his own exported files. it should work. but i don't understand why it doesn't work. this only applies to all .avi files. even if i change from .avi to .mp4 . it still don't allow him to trim.
