Size comparison between L830 and L930 ...

L830 is a lot slimmer and nicer to hold.
*to chnage or not to change

930 has a nicer screen lah. Don't change.

It looks like the 830 has a removable battery?

Was able to check this out in Starhub Causeway Point (the placeholder says Lumia 930 tho, good thing I checked the oreo back) and I might say it is really a good looking phone.

Wait for Windows 9 phone or buy this one? Hmmm.

By the time when Windows Phone 9 comes, there will be new and probably nicer models to choose from already.

Based on yesterday Win10 launch, Windows 10 for phone will only launch in 4Q15 or even 1Q16.

Until then we'll probably get quarterly small updates until the big launch coz Win10 insider program will launch only in a few hours. Nothing mentioned for phones yet.

Yea, based from Windows 10 timeline, soonest possible phone announcement could be around Build then release to market after some months.

Mobile move so fast that I think MS current way of adding new features progressively in quarterly updates makes more sense. Feature request from Uservoice is being completed pretty fast.

So Win 10 for phone may bring something unexpected that's not requested but may grab market attention.

Finally gotten to try the new Lumia 830 in action last night. Great phone, superb speed and freakishly powerful camera for a mid-range device.

and oh, here's a hint of what's not coming to Singapore.

Very Lumia 800-ish feeling, but the entire OS use is very modern and updated.

Too darn bad that Singapore is not releasing this device. Though it was fun to touch it.
