technically incorrect. yes both k20/mi9t and k20pro support fast charging through usb pd, but not all new android phones support it. usb pd support comes through qualcomm's qc4/+, which allows for 18w charging through their qc standard and 27w max charging through usb pd. however, these can be disabled. just look at oneplus phones, which support only vooc/dash charging which is a different standard from usb pd. if u plug in a usb pd or qc4 charger they will not fast charge.

just curious whether xiaomi really disabled 27w on the non pro.
So far it only states that the pro supports 27w using QC4+ standards.

Xiaomi 27w charger with 20v=1.35a

ZMI USB A/C dual port charger specs (PD/QC3)

Unless the k20pro supports 9v at 3A charging.

Yes the 27W charging is not of PD std but they do support PD charging unofficially

I think its different. Mi 9 and k20pro don't support PD charging. Otherwise, why would xiaomi be selling 18/27w chargers for these 2 models?

Surprisingly. Coming from mi9 with global rom. China rom has no bugs encountered from global rom in mi9

no, 27w is usb pd.
qc4/+ is basically qc3 integrated with usb pd, so it gets higher wattages from the pd standard while still retaining backwards compatibility with older qc standards. so if u plug in a qc4/+ or usb pd charger into a qc4/+ compliant phone, the phone will draw 27w in usb pd mode. however, if u plug in a qc3 charger with a qc4/+ compliant phone (or the other way round), the phone will draw 18w in qc mode.

this is what I could gather online, very few places explaining how qc4 works with usb pd.

Am having a lot of issues with notification, like WhatsApp. Turned on notifications and all permissions but somehow messages and notifications don't come in until I open the app. Can't wait for global rom to come so I can flash.
