davidwong 10-02-2020 04:27 PM

They are a Listed company , lei jin stead said mi9 will be the last of the mi series to be targeting affordable price range audience

Now is to see how much they goes up in price

Looks like better design than the mi note 10.

Mi 10 Series will be using Samsung Super AMOLED curved punch-hole display, more superior than the Mi Note 10's Visionox AMOLED curved dewdrop display.

Is the screen larger or smaller than note 10?

Didn't know that Mi Note 10 uses Visionox, I thought it was Samsung Super AMOLED all along. Nice to know

Mi 10 might be my 1st Xiaomi phone.. moving from s8 since S20 specs is a letdown..

Choosing this or OnePlus 8.. Mi 10 will have local warranty unlike OnePlus but OnePlus sound more premium compare to Xiaomi lol

I never bother to look at Oneplus, if a brand does not want to invest here for sales and support there is no good reason to buy from them.

Is Xiaomi case/screen protector easy to find?

What about their OS update often?

I cant find Mi Mix 2S case/TGSP anywhere. Like anywhere. Maybe not a common phone.

For newer and latest devices, updates are quite often.

Lol, now Mi phone also exceed $1000, can say bye bye liao

amazingone 13-02-2020 04:33 PM

5G phones not going to be cheap, and now production costs also not low because of the coronavirus outbreak with not much production capacity.

Mi 10 n 10 pro only the cam got diff? And battery... What else

Ctrl_Alt_Del 13-02-2020 05:40 PM

mi 10 Pro Samsung screen brightness 1200 nits. mi 10 is china screen manufacturer TCL CSOT 1120 nits.

Larger better quality speakers. Better microphones?

Frosted back glass panel.

Same cameras as mi note 10 pro minus the macro camera. mi 10 pro wide angle can macro focus to 2 cm. Laser auto focus.

Camera software? Seem like photo AI optimization and video recording manual mode is only for mi 10 pro?

Shopee has.

The 8K video recording is AI upscale from 6K as the 108 mp sensor only can record 6K video.

Mi 10 Pro has better calibrated Samsung AMOLED screen, while Mi 10 mixes both TCL and Samsung AMOLED screen.

First few batches of Mi 10 will come with Samsung, later batches will come together with both Samsung and TCL.

Quite expensive for xiaomi

Previously I was quite keen on purchasing the S20 but after looking at the specs.. if only S20 local set come witb SD865 than I will choose S20 over Xiaomi..

Mi 10 win S20 in these areas. 5G, SD865, 30w charging, battery capacity and price.

1 thing to note mi 10 is curve screen it be hard to find a tgsp that fit perfectly..

Ctrl_Alt_Del 13-02-2020 09:01 PM

Pasted with plastic screen protector out of box.

andyhtc 13-02-2020 09:35 PM

The performance is very good. At just over S$1k, it is slightly cheaper than other flagship phones.

TUV2008 13-02-2020 09:53 PM

Over $1000 is out of my range. Never spend such money to buy a phone.

I feel all the phone maker in China like to talk CPU openly is shooting their own feet, imagine if the focus is not on the CPU they can save so much on cost.

Maybe you can wait for the Redmi K30 Pro (or POCO F2), it will most likely come with Snapdragon 865 too but don't expect the same top-notch camera system and specs found on the Mi 10 Series to be on Redmi. :o

Xiaomi is going up to compete at the higher-end segment, that is also why they made Redmi as a sub-brand.
