Anyone updated to the latest MIUI 9.2.1 firmware facing battery life issues? Disastrous battery life after the update, watched battery percentage dropped from 43% to 35% in a matter of seconds without me doing anything. Or is it a sign of a wonky battery? Battery life was still okay on previous 9.1.1 build.

Anyone knows how much Mi service centre charges for out-of-warranty battery replacement for Mi 5?

Good question. I dont think so, but then again if youve not unlocked your bootloader the stock camera app is fantastic too, why do u need google camera?

Google camera is mainly for custom roms where the inbuilt camera app is bad, or for really rare occasions like the Essential phone where the stock camera app is bad, but Mi5 stock camera is excellent.

yes. either do it directly through system modifications or through a magisk module.

Does the Google camera have the Portrait mode feature?

Right now, I use the tilt-shift to get subject-focus but it looks manipulated.

Felt like ever since the 9.2.1 update, battery life hasn't been good, standby battery usage is still quite high. Thought this new update will solve it but doesn't seem to be the case. Performance wise still okay.

You can use Accubattery in Playstore to gauge the current battery capacity. Mine original battery is currently at 73% of original capacity after using it for 2 years. Can get a battery replacement of your battery is not that good already.

Dear all, cracked my mi5 screen pretty badly. Happened to win a $50 Lazada voucher. Should I use the amount to buy a digitaliser https://www.lazada.sg/products/touch...bxk9c8&search=

Or just use the amount to offset the purchase of a mi max 2?

Alternatively, anyone can recommend a shop that can do a cheap and good job of replacing my cracked mi5 screen?

It's a sign for you to replace the old phone.
