Hi g-4990, where is this track you posted in the picture? I have been to indonesia for race couple of years ago, the type of car I saw was almost the same as what you shown.. The track aint as big as in the picture.. However, we use parts that are from taiwan to play such high speed "3-wheeler car" as shown:

Dear Gary,

in Mal puri indah, there is the most longest track in indonesia.
in indonesia, there are nobody use part from taiwan or tamiya.
in indonesia, they use the hand made product and that is more quality than the genuine.
are you indonesian or singapore person?
when you play in indonesia?
in singapore, can you play with the car that i show you the picture of car?
thanx

Of course you can play with the cars you just shown here.. Pretty cool self-made items there too and I have seen them myself.. However, in singapore only certain places will allow it.. Sadly, the locals here only recognise Tamiya as the official brand.. The place I went was in Tanjong Pinan, but I cant recall the exact location..:s13:

Do you mind sharing more pictures of the cars in indonesia? So that racers around the world can actually see the differents kind of cars each country have.. Thanks..

Still remember as a kid, i used play at Dobhy Ghaut MRT and came in 2nd once at the old Plaza Singapura when Yaohan was still around. Now upgraded to RC liaoz..

so what is the popular chassis and cover now? motor? are the race rules closed or open?

eager to make a comeback and have fun :)

Woo hoo, you from my era one... :s13:

Yesh.. Mini 4wd had evolved alot... Now the motor is midship mounted, and the technology used, its very much like the RCs..

The popular Chassis ppl using now will be the pro chassis... and i guess for old school guys ,you will like the Avante MK II.. also the motor, its now the hyperdash pro ..( sounds so nostalgic :o )

For racer who played before, the new Pro chassis is kind of heavy actually.. Overall, the whole chassis look complicated, however the weight balancing for it is pretty good.. But I still see many people using older chassis such as; super1, zero, TZ, FM..

so what do you recommended? making holes on the chassis to look like a swiss cheese? hehehe

Regarding the rules.. are they open or closed? If following the Tamiya RC races, pretty much closed as they only allow Tamiya hop ups and hand out tires/motor/batteries..
