Anyone can recommend a decent aircon servicing company? My A/C is getting more cranky and might need a gas top-up.

Called Gain City, and they suggested the the indicative pricing for gas-top for a 3 FCU unit can be up to $100. Is that reasonable?

Although I have a regular service contract, my aircon is not cold and the airflow not strong. Its a 3 year old Mitsubishi Electric system 3 inverter model. One of the rooms one is fine but the other two are noisy and not cold, what do you think is the problem..... Wonder if I should pm bro hockwang.

Hi,

I think my Daikin sys 3 inverter aircon having some problems.

The indoor units were serviced a month ago. Now they are not cold and generated buzzing sounds. One unit had odours coming out too.

Appreciate if anyone could recommend a good and reliable aircon service company with reasonable rates.

Thank you! :)

Gaincity service is more xpensive & less efficient nowadays. I called them up to service my blower and it charged me $45 for 1st unit (2nd, 3rd at $25 respectively). T price compares a year ago was $35 1st unit(& so 2nd, 3rd at $25). I don mind to pay a bit more if the service is good but that is not the story..

What happen is gain city's policy changed to money minded nowadays. :s27: To me, its service is not longer rated as good, compares to a year ago. I use to call them up to service my aircon for the pass 4 years. Now I have to pay them $45 every visit, regardless its technicians have done a proper job or not, or under a month of service warranty. Gaincity ONLY warrants you FOC if your aircon is waterleak during the cover period. Otherwise repeat job you have to pay.

That was a 3 week's ago when I called gaincity to service my aircon. My blower was not cool and less wind flow(even in max), so I called up. After the technician serviced the blower, it's cool and windy(max) and I was satisfy. But it only last for a couple hours, I still consider it cool but wind flow is low. So I called gaincity up and was told I have to pay another $45 for next visit. I was unhappy and told them my aircon was not cool after service but gaincity insisted I have to pay $45 for next visit even thought it's a repeat job. I talked to a service manager and I was been told the same story.

So IF you decide to call gaincity, ask them clearly and see if you want them to service your aircon for repeat pay$$. I believe there are many available service for $45... Gaincity is out of my mind! :s27:

I initially bought contract service for air-con servicing (HDB 4rm) from GC as well. The svc was pretty good when either locals or malaysians were doing it but not those ah tiongs which replaced them later... they are lazy, do a slipshod job and don't really bother to listen to you when necessary. All they care is to get the job quickly done.. Fxxk them man..

Consider Coolserve when contract w GC is up. I have good exp w them. Servicing technicians are M'sians and they use the same team once they start yr acc. :)

Thanks, Terumo :)
May I know what is the reasonable cost for repairing the pcb or wiring problem?
And will there any other complication/problems (eg leakings, the other units affected or other damages etc) if carry out the repairing of the wiring? Really worried that money spend yet problem didn't resolve or even cause more problems:(

Think you can try @bsolute Solutions, E Home Services or Singapore Air con Services & Rates.

All local and malaysians technicians but must book early because they always fully booked.

Aircon just went Kaput!

Anyone is still using Hock Wang?

Seem like he hasnt log in since mid May after the few "feedbacks" from his customers?

Anyone has similar experience - that your aircon just went Kaput & was not able to switch on again. Were using the units in my living room and bedroom & suddenly, the "switch on light" were gone and there wasnt air coming out although the "fangs" were still open (like it was still switch on). I tried switching off the main switch & retry but it doesnt work as well.

This isnt the best time to spoilt - the weather is horrendously hot!!!!!

Hi, does anyone know whether could we still do a chemical wash if the side of the fan coil is rusty? Also, any idea what could be the cause for the rust? My serviceman claim that they are not able to do the chemical wash and recommended me to replace the fan coil or replace the airon. Any suggestion?
Thank you.
