hi guys,

Here are the direct links to the prospectus:

Far East H-Trust Prospectus (Main Text)
Far East H-Trust Prospectus (Appendices)

Here is the timetable for the IPO:

FarEastTimetable.jpg

So pls no more chatter on when can apply, when close, when ballot, when start trading etc. :s8:

Let's concentrate on some quality discussion on the IPO.

At least respect other people by reading the thread ya?

A noob isn't suppose to be blind, just ignorant.

hi all, interested to apply, would like to check more regards the payout, it quarterly , or annually?
quarterly will be better personal liking....

As quoted from the prospectus under dividends:

"After Far East H-Trust has been admitted to the Main Board of the SGX-ST, Far East H-REIT will make distributions to Stapled Securityholders on a quarterly basis, with the amount calculated as at 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each year for the threemonth period ending on each of the said dates. Far East H-REIT’s first distribution after the Listing Date will be for the period from the Listing Date to 31 December 2012 and will be paid by the REIT Manager on or before 31 March 2013. Subsequent distributions will take place on a quarterly basis as well. Under the Far East H-REIT Trust Deed, the REIT Manager is required to pay distributions within 90 days after the end of each distribution period."

Hope this helps. :)

Yeah, u can possibly buy @ cheaper price from the market. Just look @ the AHT & u know what i mean....

For every AHT, there's an Sheng Siong or IEV. You'll need to do your own due diligence to see whether there is value in the price you subscribed at, be it IPO or post IPO.

Look at Facebook and Manchester United IPO. Went underwater within the week of debut. :s8:

Still undecided whether want to subscribe or not. Seriously the yield is unattractive. Probably 1st day trading @ 0.94~0.95 if lucky. All brokers in Singapore are the one laugh all the way to the bank..

6% yield is not good enough for you? I think it's about average right now for REITs.

Like someone points out, you never know how the market is going to move. For every move that Mr. Market makes, there is always a 'henz never apply' or 'KNN why never apply' moment.

If the price moves up and you din apply, you will curse yourself for being stupid and indecisive. If it comes down and you din apply, you will congratulate yourself for having the foresight.

If you are in it for the long haul, it really does not matter. If it moves up, good loh. Just hold on and enjoy the ride. If it comes down, good also cos can consider to add more.

Punters should stay away cos I suspect there will not be a lot of fats in this one. I think the price should be fairly stable post-listing.

one will also have to consider their investment strategy.. going for growth stocks vs going for dividend income..
i am into dividend income... so this kinda attracts me more regardless of short term growth..

LIM & TAN SECURITIES PTE LTD

 We would recommend Subscribe, despite the consensus (as reflected in media coverage in recent days) that it is a worthwhile investment, hence the pricing at the absolute top end of the indicative range. :s22::s22:
 The key point is the indicative first year yield of 6%.
 Fact that at least 60% of the base income is “guaranteed” by the master-lease arrangement, suggests “worst-case” yield of under 4%. (Note: yields of reits are not guaranteed as recently pointed by a
local analyst.)
 We are not unduly concerned that Orchard Parade Hotel’’s lease runs out in has 50 years. (OPH is the largest asset in FEH’s portfolio, accounting for about a third.)
 Or for that matter that OPH is being valued at $1 mln a key vs $686,000 for Orchard Hotel, owned by CDL Hospitality. A possible reason is that unlike Orchard Hotel, OPH does not separate contributions from the asset into retail and hotel.
 329.4 mln units will be offered to institutional investors and the public; and 376.3 mln units to cornerstone investors, which include Aberdeen
Asset (value fund) and AIG (insurance).
 FEH’s initial portfolio will comprise 7 hotels (including OPH, Albert Court Village) and 4 serviced residences.
 One casualty, if we can call it that, would be Ascendas Hospitality, now trading cents off IPO price.

6% means not much room upwards liao unless the yield increases

office and industrial reits still offer more than 6% leh
