Did you check if the script is picking up the correct HDD temp? For my case, need to edit script to pick-up value from RAW_VALUE instead.

I just edit the threshold value. How do you check if the script is picking up the correct HDD temp?

The NAS time always go back to sometime in 2005 whenever i manually power up the NAS. Any way to let it do a sync to NTP server whenever its booted up?

Just do a echo `smartctl -d marvell --all /dev/sdX |grep -e ^194 | head -c 40 | tail -c 2` where X refer to either HDD (sda or sdb). Compare the result with that from the NAS webUI.

As for clock issue, most probably the onboard battery is weak which is easy to replace. IIRC, it should be 1.5V, the same type used in digital watch.

weirdly, i cant find the fan log @ /var/log

Which version of the script you using? Mine is v2 and the default HDD temp is taken from VALUE (column 40) which is incorrect in my case, need to take from RAW_VALUE (column 89).

Anyone got recommendation of torrent client which supports RSS feeds?
I know uTorrent can't be installed on FFP and Transmission doesn't support RSS.

Lost p2p folder after upgrading latest firmware

as above.

After just updating to the latest firmware. I could not find my p2p folder anymore.

Tried rebooting and restarting, also cold restart does not seem to work.

Any way to rescan or restore my p2p folder?

the connection will be down after 1-2 min.

It is all wireless setup. Nothing of this type of problem was surface when the system is new.,

P2P folder has been changed to a Shared Folder from firmware 2.02 onward. Just recreate a new Shared Folder if it's not found.

Try connecting your computer to the router via wired connection and see if the problem goes away. FYI, this NAS model has poor performance in handling files with small filesize.

You might also want to perform a Smart test and surface test on your HDD using the NAS built-in tool.

Hmmm are green drives not recommended for this NAS?

my Samsung Green drive failed again recently and i had done some readups that Green drives are not recommended for RAIDs.

Should be able to, just stop the daemon, edit the settings.json file and restart daemon.

Doubt so, this bug is only fixed in firmware 2.03 (aka 2.03b03).

I got the IE freeze thing the moment i run the browser
Chrome will also have shockwave flash crash if you run it directly from the desktop unless you run it from the metroUI.
