only occasionally - so just in case.

Only when some part of the main platform dies - like cpu, mobo or memory.
Otherwise, there's little reason to overhaul. An SSD would make it work like a new system, whereas if I need to indulge in games at home, any reasonable mid-range card would work fine in the existing system and it won't be choked.

I want to see how long can I push this along unless I need to do more compute intensive tasks :-x
what shu shu normally do at home?

I have one too. Bought from Amazon though. Good quality considering its price. :)

Cheapest one I saw was $214, from this same shop.

Haiz, had to do all the research myself beforehand, I was stuck between ATR2500, AT2020 and CAD U37, but there was no forum in HWZ dedicated to microphones so i couldnt ask around for opinions... :(

Coz one youtube review said that the AT2020 picks up everything else, including the background noise, noise from PC fans whirling, etc. And I cant afford to waste time post-processing these noises out after recording, esp mine is a home environment, not a quiet studio setting. So ATR-2500 comes out better, I tried on it and amazingly it only picks out my vocals or the guitar strumming, filtering out the outside traffic noise. So I would say the AT2020 works best in a studio environment, where noise is at minimal and the mic can pick up almost everything inside. Else for a home setting or outdoor setting, the ATR2500 is better.
