Hi,

Anyone on Singnet Fiber plan and currently using TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND for Singnet Fiber Internet with MioTV?

Saw this router at challenger today. Not sure if this is a good replacement for Asus.. At least cheaper (not really into Wi-Fi performance) Asus.

See if this config is what you're looking for ...
Asus RT-N15U is another cheaper alternative with Singtel-MIO preset on stock firmware. Got people selling it at marketplace for SGD70.

I tried before, it works actually. But only support 1 tv.

How was the performance for TP-LINK?

I being looking for a replacement for pace. Asus I try to stay away from them. Never last for my usage. Have two Asus router die on me already.

support was horrible for Asus. (I not saying that tplink support would be super good but at least much helpful then asus) at least I know their router wouldn't die on me. Currently using their router to extend my WiFi signal at home. Pace WiFi is just too weak.

A simple router search @ smallnetbuilder.com says it all

Router Charts - WAN to LAN Throughput - SmallNetBuilder

Just talking about the router performance and haven't even starting talking about weak wireless performance yet :s13:

Ix Chariot 5.2

WAN to LAN throughput ~ 122.7mbps
LAN to WAN throughput ~ 112.8mbps
Total Simultaneous Throughput ~ 120.5
Maximum Simultaneous Connections ~ 5019

It's just a meidcore router meant for cable/DSL era at best and not even suited for fiber internet

There are other better performing brands over TP-Link anytime under $100

I using the 5520 or 5012... 5520 needs a firmware patch.... then it's stable..... if U use TV..then UR stuck with them...since others...other than AZTECH 7000 won't work on FTTH....

Must use correct firmware. After upgrading need reboot the ONT also.

Hi bro,

You mentioned you got the TP-Link to work with Singtel fibre + MioTV.

I'm currently on WDR4300. Configured the VLAN as per below but MioTV still can't get IP.

I also tried VLAN 10 CPU untagged + VLAN 20 Port 5 (LAN Port 4) untagged but same issue.

That is for stock firmware which supports miotv. But only 1 port supports it, the rest only works for internet.

I tried. Still could not find the ip address. I put the WAN type as Dynamic, but when ask them to detect is static. I am confused as to how to configure this.

I tried connecting ONT-> paces -> TP link. the cpu connected through lan can work, but wireless can't.

Pls help

So even the newer models can't work? No configuration settings from TP-Link.

Im using TLWD4900 currently no firmware to support fibre to replace 2wire/pace/aztech

recently my TLWD1043ND breakdown hence TP Link no stock for replacement and Asia Radio 2000 the service told mi to top up

$30 for TLWDR3600
$50 for TLWDR4300
$70 for TLWDR4900

Call Tech support hotline 62840493 suppose to be 24/7 but they no ppl so sleeping

call and call no reply

i plan to get them refund the TLWDR4900 cos they dun have anymore TLWD1043ND so LL maybe got to use back Asus to replace Singtel RG.

Just a little more sharing is that maybe we can join force to write in to IDA to ask them.

previously alot of bro and sis out there will know wat im saying when u see this post.

at first is
TP>ONT>SingTel RG (From ST RG) phone under mio voice and mio tv have to connect to RG

after i wrote in
recently is
TP>ONT>ST RG PC and Mio tv go to ST RG and MIO voice finally can go to ONT under Phone 1

Actually if we all can write in to IDA untill

Mio Voice on ONT phone 1
Mio TV on ONT Lan 2 or Lan 4 which is easy as Lan 2 & Lan 3 is reserve.
PC wired connection can directly connect to Lan 1 on ONT

Once LAN 1 is opened den any router with vLan is able to hook on and run

SingTel shall not lock the ONT by vLan which cause us to stack to Asus or just the 2wire/pace/Aztech

there are alot of brand like Netgear, TP Link, Engenuis, Dlink, Belkin,Linksys, XyZEL,......
