to those that buy gold coins, is it as a form of investment or collection? and where do you store them? thanks.

Some is for collection and some for investment...for me personally, silver coins for collection and gold for investment..I store my graded coins in the grading company slab box which is placed in a drybox..gold keep in safe as it is one of the least reactive metal...

as I said gold is one of the least reactive metal around...so long as it is not a pvc storage, you can store it anywhere you want...the red spots on gold is due to impurities namely copper in the gold reacting with other elements...even if you just put gold in your drawer, it is ok...

Buy direct from UOB, spread lower and not much markup like those retail shops

coin spread in uob also very high.
buy coin? aesthetic hobby over investment.

spread is only 0.44% for 1kg.... good enough for investors like AhBui :D Gold ETF GLD must pay 0.28% x 2 (commission for buy and sell).

<Physical Gold and Gold Certificates
Other than GSA/SSA, you can also choose to buy and sell Gold Bars, Gold Bullion Coins and Gold Certificates at our Gold counter located at UOB Main Branch, Banking Hall Basement (Counter 79) UOB Plaza 2, 80 Raffles Place.>

Interested on 1kg cast bars too. Dunno any hidden charge will impose when sell back to UOB?
