I think I'll drop by some A.D to at a look at the watches to help me judge better? I have only made physical contact with the moonwatch when checking out the price last week.

Will probably go this Sat, find a A.D that carries Rolex and Tudor so I can physically feel the Pelagos and Air King.

Actually, blue dial Air King is pretty neat. Just called Cortina...retail price at 6600 with another 10 percent :( Did a search for grey for A.K on sg rolex club...search result zero....no one selling?

Go Ion, cos around that area got many ADs, all those on your list can be found there

u are a genuine buyer, so don paiseh, just ask the SA to show you what you are interested in

Think bro yatto can assist in asking his SA in the final price for airking? Can also help you ask my SA if bro yatto too busy. ;)

Its more of a personal preference and budget available.

Just like buying cars. Who doesn't wanna own a brand new car? But if restricted by budget, preowned is not a bad choice.

There preowned rolexes out there whereby the original owners don't even wear it at all. Just keep in the box and sit in a corner... and they don't mind to let go at a price slightly lower than the market rate.

sorta general rule:

1. buy as GIFT FOR OTHERS? preferably buy NEW.

2. buy as GIFT FOR YOURSELF? PRE-OWNED IS OK, if you're not averse to it.

Not bad..like it that it has a piece of history as well. Just that I drop it off the list after considering it is manual winding. It's the whole essence of the watch but what if he over wind then screw up the watch? Self winding safer for him ba lol.

From my experience walking into AD.

Don't be afraid to tell them that you are browsing around. And ask them kindly if you can try on some of the watches.

Most of the time SA would let you try. Then while trying they will try strike a conversation with you...

But if you are ready to hoot with cash ready in hand... don't be afraid to tell them you are looking for best offer.

Looking for THAT watch is like this. You're not alone.
What we offer here are OUR opinions and what we know. Ultimately you choose your own watch and we give our blessings - that is what any mature watch-slave will do, because we know everyone is different and has different taste. I believe we respect that.

I thought I had wanted the 116520 for the longest time until I finally tried it. Totally doesn't speak to me. Ended up with something else and also from there I started to know what suits me and what doesn't.

But most of the time the brand ***** in me wins. Muahahahaha

俗语有云:懂得越多,知道的越少。

this daytona 116509-slv damn naughty. always whispering seductively: "come get me, baby... you & i are meant to be..." :(

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately I have nv dealt with any S.A in my entire life before. And they probably think " what is this ginna doing here?" when I do walk in. :s13:

wah, wah, wah... you so fast forgot yattokame kor kor already ah, you know, the always-get-free-gifts-and-macarons-from-his-SAs-for-busting-their-sale-quota one leh... ah the one lah!

say simi will eat grass for 3 yrs after helping himself, his wife, mum and friends hoot hundreds of k worth of watches in a month... then very likely 3 mths later (or even sooner) go hoot another watch, you all just wait & see... he has offered to help buddies here snag their pieces with a good discount

prognosis: BLISSFULLY INCURABLE WATCH LOVER, along with many similarly afflicted buddies here.

roflmao. :D
