Lol, sound like the following quote:

"Perfection consists not in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well." by Angelique Arnauld.

at least they're perfect in something! maybe 'persistent perfection' should only be on desktops

Asustek always at frontier of "Inspiring Innovation" , therefore TaiChi was created, which includes the "Persistent Perfection" of Tai Chi pushing skills.

Customers kena internal injuries.

Does that refer to...ppushing blame on customer? Hahaha

likely they will tell u to go to burn road when your nightmare will begin again

asus has no 1-to-1 exchange policy

best denki online sales exchange policy:

SALES TERMS & CONDITIONS | BEST Denki Singapore

1 to 1 Exchange applies with these criterias:

a. Product found to be defective or faulty.

b. Within 7 days after delivery completion.

c. Fulfillment is subject to delivery schedule availablity.

Thanks for the headsup, I don't think I'm able to go back to Best Denki for replacement as it's already over 7 days, was too busy to do a full test last week till today...

So if I go to ASUS service center, usually what's the duration for changing a LCD Panel? So since there won't be 1 to 1 exchange, I don't have to remove my SSD and RAM before heading down right?

Thanks!

If they have panels it is usually quite fast. Within a few days. If no panels, then you have to wait for stocks.

Anyway, Asus usually change the whole top pc of the LCD. Not much parts will be open up. In fact, the screens they will be taken out is just slightly more than changing SSD. :)
So should be fine.

Hi All,

We are helping you guys here to speak to Asus directly now, with regards to the issues face. Maybe Asus can allow the exchanges to be done through us, on their behalf.
Please be patient, we are waiting for the green light.

Please do note that this is a purely a one time voluntary service by PC Dreams to help users here out. By no means we are actually liable to any customers here, (except those who bought from us). Hope everyone understand. :)

Hope we are able to help out eventually.

Cheers!

Few days is not quite fast for a simple replacement LCD.

I know Acer, Dell, Samsung and Sim Lim Sq repair shops can change laptop or phone LCD within 10 to 15mins in front of customers.

12 years ago, Acer really have this 2 hours express repair in front of customers. If Acer cannot repair on the spot, will send back by Singpost delivery to you.

How's that for industry standard?

We have tried many methods to hire good technicians, but most who turn up or interview failed our expectations. :)

Nowadays, it is not just an issue on salary. HR is a much more complex issue.

Anyway, your skillset must be exceptional! I have yet to hear from my friends working at Microsoft, IBM or Oracle that there is nothing for them to learn. :)

16yrs of experience on desktop troubleshooting. 2yrs of handling vvip, country managers, head of dept.

So u tell me, why should i still stick with desktop troubleshooting?

And fyi, im still doing desktop troubleshooting for my customers once in a blue moon.

Industry standard is actually a few days. You can't really compare with Sim Lim Square (We are Sim Lim Square as well).

Authorized Repair Centre units have to go through proper diagnostics to generate properly report. Parts that are being exchanged have to be also stored properly for future audit. After repairing, there is still a full run in test to ensure that the panel is working fine and also to check for other issues. :)

Finally, it is not economical to hire one row of technicians and sit in front of all customers and start doing the repairs. That will definitely jam up the space and time.

Acer actually dropped this service. Though it is 2 hours express service, what happened is some customers have to wait 2-4 hours to be served, then another 1-2 hours for the repair. Many customers complained eventually.

Yes, I understand. You ask us for the job, we respond, that's all. Definitely no disrespect over your experience.
But from personal development point of view, I doubt I will ever stop learning even when I am 80 years old. There are so many things to be learnt. Just my own opinion. :)

Hi all

Good news here! We have got the green light from Asus to help out the HWZ community this time round .

For those who have bought a recent unit with any manufacturer defective unit can come by our showroom for exchange.

This is the first time Asus authorized such services, so please pardon us if there are some hiccups. :)

Please kindly PM us for instructions. We will need you to get a PM confirmation from us before you can come down to do the exchange.

Important Note:
1) The exchange is only valid for those with genuine manufacturer's defect issues that happen over the last few weeks.
2) Asus ultimately still reserve the right to determine whether to exchange, but we will do our best to facilitate the exchange to go through on the spot.
3) PC Dreams is doing this ONE TIME EXCHANGE VOLUNTARILY for the HWZ community members only. We are not the authorized Asus service centre, thus we are not able to guarantee a 100% solution for all your issues. PC Dreams is only acting as a facilitator to help eligible exchange units to go through. (Asus service centre is not able to do exchange as their function is to repair Asus hardware faults, not exchange).
4) Please send us the PM before 18th March 2014 to ensure that the paperwork can be done properly.

Please kindly PM us the following details:

1) Laptop /Tablet Model
2) Serial Number
3) Date of Purchase
4) Place of Purchase

To be eligible, please keep bring your original invoices, box, packaging and accessories. If these items are missing, please let us know in PM too, we will see what we can help.

We will PM you the instructions for exchange!

Hope we are able to help out!

Cheers!
