Is the 2011UiAS-2HnD-IN ready for the new 1 Gbps fibre broadband service? Can it handle the throughput? Will be nice if someone can do some testing and post the results

No. It's only good for 300Mbps+ up to maybe 500Mbps max. depending on your configuration (eg. no. of firewall rules, etc.)

For 1Gbps I think you'll have to look at their CCR range.

What's the wan to la n throughput or LAN to wan?

Those are WAN-to-LAN throughput figures.

I believe LAN-to-WAN isn't very different.

IMO MikroTik is already performing really well w/o NAT acceleration thanks to its very efficient (& stable) RouterOS.

As a comparison, look at the fastest Dual-Core 1GHz consumer router - Netgear R7000 without NAT acceleration (eg. running on DD-WRT). It only managed to hit 400Mbps as confirmed by 'Kong', the #1 Netgear R7000 DD-WRT coder :

BTW, for those who want a value-for-money MikroTik router that can support 1Gbps WAN-to-LAN throughput, wait a few months for the release of the RB953GS-5HnT.

This should give the Ubiquiti ERL a really good run for its money.

Personally, I'm waiting to grab one the moment it hits the market =:p

Bandwidth Issue

I just upgraded my fibre to 300 mbps and my routerboard 450g is not showing the optimal speed on speedtest.net, ard 220 mbps whereas I use the new Aztech Modem Singtel gives, it did show 300 mbps in the test. Is there something wrong with my config?

That's the current limitation with the RouterBoards as they don't have NAT acceleration.

With a minimal set of firewall rules, my RB951G-2HnD and RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN can only manage ~250Mbps.

The upcoming RB850Gx2 (due in April/May) has NAT acceleration and should be able to deliver close to 1Gbps WAN-to-LAN throughput just like the Ubiquiti ERL/ER-POE.

Alternatively, you can go for the CCR range if you can't wait.

For those seeking 1G, you should look at least RB1100AHx2. We are expecting upcoming RB850x2 to get close to 1G NAT performance however the price will be a bit higher than ERL (5ports vs 3 ports).

guys, I did a WOL using my hp, trying to turn on my pc, my pc is the same subnet as my handphone

i can see the dst as 255.255.255.255:7 which is broadcast at port 7, but then my pc never receives the wol packet, tested with this tool:

Depicus Wake on Lan Monitor/Sniffer

what is wrong?

running os version 6.7 ,

Model 2011UAS-2HnD

tried via router console also does not work:

Manual:Tools/Wake on lan - MikroTik Wiki

upgrade to latest RouterOS 6.10 (6.11 will launch anytime from now) then try again to do the WOL. If it still doesn't work, turn on debug log and check if there's anything in there. Make sure your firewall is not blocking as well.

I've tested (& currently using) both the MikroTik S-85DLC05D & Cisco GLC-SX-MM and they work flawlessly with my CRS125, RB260GS and RB2011UiAS.

They both use multi-mode cables with dual LC connectors and I'm currently using those from Tripp-Lite N520 (OM2-rated) and N820 (OM3-rated). Got them from Amazon.

BTW, huge performance improvement in ROS 6.12 !

SingTel 500Mbps FTTH with exactly the same router configuration :

Amazon.com: Tripp Lite N320-01M Duplex Multimode 62.5/125 Fiber Optic Patch Cable LC/LC - 1M (3ft): Electronics
