Hi,

Is there any way to speed up the transfer speed to the USB connected to the router? When my Download Master starts running, it's impossible to access to my USB.

Also, I think the latest FW states that we are able to download single file from a multiple files torrent with the Download Master. Does anyone know how to do that?

i play ard the 5ghz setting and set

beacon interval to 50
RTS treshold to 2307..

performance and range increase.:D

Hi, does this actually help? I am on singtel 150mbps fibre and noticed that on weekends night 10-12 the connection drops. I am using wireless. The connection on my laptop will show 3 bars. I have already set the power tx to 150.
On a sidenote, i tried to update the firmware and it gives me the router cannot connect to asus router message :/

Thanks in advance:)

Hi, just updated from 3.0.0.4.374.5517 to new fw 3.0.0.4.376.2524 and noticed speed drops to 144 mbps using Intel AC7260. Previously, was able to achieve 300mbps on 5GHz band. No change in location of notebook.

I merely restarted the router but did not do a factory reset. Any advice?

thanks for the response.

wireless wise, i have no complaint.

i forgot to mention that i am referring to accessing the AiDisk (USB connected to the router) from my LAN desktop.

It's just that when the download master is downloading stuffs, I have difficulty accessing to AiDisk via FTP or xxx.asuscomm.com:8081/downloadmaster. I need to pause the task before I can access. Is there a bottleneck?? The task usually running at around 500kb/sec. I'm using M1 200MB Gamer plan.

The download master is a great tools to download my stuffs without turning on my PC. And I'm able to create the task remotely.

Or are there any better alternatives?

Same issue here. I also upgraded from 3.0.0.4.374.5517 to 3.0.0.4.376.1123 and speed drops to 144 mbps with asus usb-ac53.

Further upgrade to 3.0.0.4.376.2524 no difference, still at 144 mbps.

Downgrade to 3.0.0.4.374.5517 gets it back to previous 468 mbps.

Suggest you go back until the issue is fixed.

You are right. Went back to 3.0.0.4.374.5517 and it was immediate improvement... it's now connecting at 216Mbps for the notebook and more than 300Mbps for the media bridge (second piece of AC66U), all these located in another enclosed room.

Alternatively, there's a new fork of the security features of 376 but without the new limitations on wireless power.

[Fork] Update for 374.43 available - SmallNetBuilder Forums

Well the wifi analysis shows the channel the router is using is fine. But i thought it is set to auto and will automicatically choose the best and less used 5ghz or 2.4ghx band?
rolled back firmware to 3.0.0.4.374.5517, and my ac7260 to an older firmware. Speed much better now. Set beacon interval 50 and that other one to 2307 n... but not much difference.

After the upgrade when I turned off the 5GHz band. The wireless log displays "2.4GHz disabled" instead of the 5GHz. I think error in the wireless log info.

Another problem I encountered for both the firmware 3.0.0.4.376.1123 & 3.0.0.4.376.2524, when I set the bandwidth to 20MHz for 2.4GHz band, the Rx Rate at the wireless log displayed "-0.0M" as shown below. However when I changed to 40MHz bandwidth the Rx Rate can shows the speed clearly. Any solution to that? I have no issue on 5GHz band only the 2.4GHz band.

Another feedback. When I started a vpn connection using L2TP or PPTP on my mac OS X 10.9.5, I saw some prompts in the system log;

miniupnpd[471]: unsupported NAT-PMP version : 2
miniupnpd[471]: HTTP Connection from 192.168.1.10 closed unexpectedly

Dear ASUS@SG, any advice if the new fw is fixed?

Otherwise I will just stick with 3.0.0.4.374.5517. Continued use of this fw is giving me better result: notebook with Intel 7260 AC is connecting at 585Mbps located in a separate enclosed room from AC66U.

Dear Dellboy,

You mean you having problem with wireless link speed?

I am using Intel 7260 AC with latest driver from Intel.

Best regard,
JK
