Hi everyone,

I’ve finally caught up on this matter, investigated this issue and I would like to help clear the air on this matter.

Firstly, I would like to bring to you attention that we maintain a few newsletters for our subscribers. One of them is a weekly newsletter called the The HWZ Forumer . What it does is to compile a weekly list of top new threads in popular forum sections and present it in a newsletter format.

This newsletter exists to help members and subscribers interested in our forum content but aren’t active enough to follow through the fast moving forums and it can be tiring to keep up. If you’re not aware of it previously and are interested to opt in to this newsletter, you can change the options in your forum member profile page.

Because this is a newsletter served out by HardwareZone, we need to maintain certain standards such as ensuring there are no expletives or other such objectionable words by the general public. When such situations arise, we do make the necessary text corrections while keeping the topic and subject matter intact.

However, in this case, the decision to remove the word “Pinoy” from the thread title was a misjudgment on the part of our junior admin staff. More so, the discussion freely uses this term. Clearly, we’ve no qualms with the discussion in general and we’ve left the thread as-is for all to comment.

As such, I would like to assure you that we had no other ill intentions whatsoever regarding this incident other than to fulfill sharing of the forum newsletter.

I would like to apologize on behalf of my administration’s team for the misjudgment on this matter.

Thank you.

Nope. That staff isn't a Pinoy/Filipino - But regardless of that matter, I expect all to stay the course of their duty.

Thanks Vijay kor kor for clarifying.

One last question, who and why did not put back the word "pinoy" instead of "fillipino".

Please come clean on this. :s12:

ya sia

this is especially so when "pinoy" is not a derogatory term. in fact its a term that even the pinoys themselves use so why wasn't the original word put back but instead substituted with another word?
