Hi guys

I've exhausted all my ideas....

So basically I've a 54U that i use as an AP. When the technician came down today and changed from my 7000 to 7003, its when things get weird.

My broadband & internet LED is both ok when the 56u is not plugged in. But when i plugged it in, broadband & internet LED both gone. No lights.

I went to read the logs, when i plug the 56u in, this happens

Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon info radvd[1697]: attempting to reread config file
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon warn radvd[1697]: Warning: AdvRDNSSLifetime <= 2*MaxRtrAdvInterval would allow stale DNS servers to be deleted faster
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon info radvd[1697]: resuming normal operation
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon warn radvd[1697]: received RA from fe80::226:75ff:fec4:e05e
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon info radvd[1697]: attempting to reread config file
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon warn radvd[1697]: Warning: AdvRDNSSLifetime <= 2*MaxRtrAdvInterval would allow stale DNS servers to be deleted faster
Feb 1 23:09:11 daemon info radvd[1697]: resuming normal operation

nothing much. I believe that my 56u is interfering in someway but I've always set it to AP mode, so no DHCP server is present in the 56u. All configs on the 56U was left intact, and it was working well as an AP when my RG was 7000.

Pls help guys!

You can use the N56U as router instead and do away with the 7003.

its quite complicated as i've a few Mio TV around my house and digital voice is like a loopback and blah blah blah.

Trust me, if i could, i would, but i can't, so i shan't use the 56u as a main router.

Just use 7003 as router without AP. N56U is only N standard whileas 7003 is AC standard.

Try to factory reset n reconfigure as an AP, if that does not work, reflash firmware n reconfigure.

i give up, I restore to factory default, i reflash. All useless. Apparently when i plug in the Asus n56u, the aztech will show something like "This Residential Gateway is currently being managed by another blah blah"

Now i realised that the 7003 can't don't L2TP VPN too. I've a VPN server at home :(

Singtel replied me and told me they've updated the firmware, so it allows L2TP passthrough now :s13:

still need help with how can a asus wireless AP conflict with the aztech.

Whenever the Asus is plugged in, the aztech 7003 management page shows

"Residential Gateway Error

Another management entity is currently configuring the Residential Gateway.

Please close the Residential Gateway Configuration window, and try again in a few minutes."

Aztech 7003 is able to support VPN, just need to mention to the engineer attending he will then flash to a firmware that support VPN......
