To all the pro pap ib, I wish to congratulate u on this landslide victory built upon a flawed grc system.

You may be celebrating today, but I worry for you, because what the ruling party will do to this nation in the coming decades, will be beyond your myopic imagination.

For a start, perhaps we can start to brace ourselves for royal sodomy such as increased gst, increased transport fares, stagnating wages, more intense competition for jobs, rising costs of living, greater income disparity, more congested roads, more expensive housing, more expensive tuition fees, potential to extend withdrawal age for cpf...

While all this is ongoing, remember that Singaporeans do not have basic human rights, no right to assembly(meaning all protest are illegal by default, peaceful or not), controlled media.

I'm sorry that the pro opp ib here haven't been able to convince you to our side for now, but time will tell, and surely this is the start of a great defeat to come, when good men are bashed while liars become rulers.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

How i foresee the partisanship in future: White / Red / Blue. So those who are pro opp, and still has that sliver of faith: go join sdp or wp.

No offence to other parties but a lot of smaller parties will collapse or be absorbed. a mega coalition is not possible because of fundamental ideology differences, unless these are overcome, we won't see a coalition effort.

We were on the topic of why some people avoid letting others know they are PAP support because of oppo supporters going around berating people as traitors and dogs. You then fake a concern neutral angle and try to debate but I found out that you are only trying to push for people to read sites like The Online Citizen which is oppo bias.

People like YOU are exactly why the swing vote happen. You can blame heaven and earth but nothing will change in the year 2020 unless your kind learn respect.

Maybe the day you learn why others vote for the PAP then your oppo has a chance to gain votes rather than scream at the top of their lung "Vote Them Out".

You can also try to swing votes to the opposition by declaring that you support the PAP and then proceed with your rude and uncouth behaviour hounding swing voters. That might actually help the opposition.

I assume your aggressiveness is due to feeling sore. I forgive you.

To share some of my random thoughts,concern and rant after this election....

1. Recession in 2016
- Seriously, recession is coming; most likely next year Chinese new year. Voters are selecting a strong party to 'save' them....To those people who think voting PAP will prevent margin call on their property, it won't happen.... The money in housing NPL even if using our reserve will not save everyone....I hope that when it happen (bank margin call and your MP or gov ask you to downgrade or go take rental flat) remember who you vote for and don't complain since you give them mandate....
- There will be job loss as well, and I seriously hope that all the PMEs in their late 40s, please take the taxi test now when you still have income, else you won't have enough time to save or take the test to support your family...I personally saw some of my ex-colleagues who are in their late 40s took > 6months to 1 year to secure a decent job but with > 40% pay cut from previous....The gov can't do much this time round (expect un-employment rate >10% with youth unemployment > 50%) and you guys will have to tahan another 'upturn the downturn' song from LSS....again....

2. Mediashield Life and GST
- Surprise that no one point out the flaws in Mediashield Life till now....Good policies but SG not ready yet....
- Since everyone will be cover basic healthcare for life, the number of beds in our hospital cannot support the increased of people who will be covered (If I remember correctly, it will cover up to < B2 wards) and if those wards are full, you will have to shift to higher wards and pay more....
- The premium for the coverage will put a strain on gov expenditure and I highly suspect they have to source for new 'income' after the 1st 3 years to support the low income or elders(As Sgrns are getting older, expenditure will increased)...My guess is GST from 7% to 8.5% within the next 5 years...

3. Population 6.9 million
- Since a strong mandate is given, be prepared for overcrowded bus & MRT, job competitiveness, and increased cost of living. And pray hope in our children's future, they are not the minority and the 'new citizens' will not form their own political parties and kick our children out, marginalize them or push their own agenda....

4. Internet freedom
- This time round PAP IB is very strong, with support from MSM.... which may cause the vote to swing...In the future, I fear that gov will take this as the new norm and different 'voices' will be suppress down....

5. Political Scene
- With this result, no quality people will want to join the oppo and in turn lead to group thinking within the gov; PAP...
- The system, institution of the gov was not fully tested out and now we are kicking the 'time bomb' to next gen...

Enough of the rant....good night everyone and hope that end of the day, we are all still singaporeans....
