xiaomi

Discussed before fww times times....

Xiaomi CADR tested in Guangzhou lab 395 m3/hr.
Samsung AX40 slightly more ex in China, but over here its same price as Xiaomi. 323m3/h CADR as tested in China....if you remove the AC layer then it is 345m3/h. It's not a very fair comparison, but you get the idea.
One is 27 watts (measured by China lab), the other is 75 watts iirc

Using 12hrs a day.....the wattage difference in electrical bills can get you a FOC Samsung AX40 in 4.9 years.

The loudness difference is phenomenal. Every doubling of source is +3dB. > 32 units of AX40 gunning in high = 1pc xiaomi....at the very least.

Unfirtunately, I can't recommend such products.

Hi,

The xiaomi has a 9kg shipping weight. So thats 235rmb forward to SIN.

It is v loud, probably the loudest of them all and louder than the Honeywell 50250. So this alone is not good.

Power consumption sucks. 75W for 406m3/hr.
Samsung AX60 is 722m3/hr for 48W.
Samsung AX40 is about 28W for 323m3/hr.
LG i measured is 39W for 318m3/hr.
The Samsungs are v quiet.

Moreover, with the above filter DIY upgrade, the airflow probably would be closer to 350m3/hr at least. RMB180.

Xiaomi original H11 filter is rmb149, aftermarket rmb99.

IQAir Healthpro 250, Blueair 303, Sharp A50, Philips, Midea KJ30FE-NV, Xiaomi.

Also mentioned that the fan blades and centrifugal fan are small sized, hence need high rpm = noise. Coz the design is to provide a small footprint. (seriously not that small if you calculate)

They mentioned that the outlet measurement of the Blueair 303 was measured to be PM2.5 8 ug/m3. This is a one-pass measurement. Compared to the Philips (True HEPA), the Philips measured a very low 0.x ug/m3 at the outlet.

This confirms the earlier suspicion of mine + some people here that Blueair is NOT using HEPA technology (at least not H11/H12 or H13).
However, the CADR is still relatively high due to the high airflow.
It most probably is heavily biased towards an electrostatic based filter like those 3M Filtrete Furnace filter, which I have used once before the 3M Filtrete Elite Allergen MPR2200....it does give a very much higher airflow in my Sharp KC-840 due to lower hPa drop.

This is also probably why Blueair wants you to change every 6 months. Electrostatic based stuff is like that, the efficiency goes down as it's coated with particles, less electrostatic attraction. 3M says that themselves.

i wanted to buy xiaomi ap despite the loud noise but i end up buying samsung ap.The delivery time for xiaomi ap is longer..if buy from local ready stock, $50 more expensive.

Xiaomi ap
CADR 406
75W
Filter replacement $3x (3 in 1)
intelligence control from app
Air quality indicator

Xiaomi in high speed 406m3/h is 75dBA at 1m hor.....like your vacuum cleaner

Honeywell 50250 chuanz already sold away and replaced with a Novita 620. 50250 ish 58dBA. About 450m3/h.

Samseng AX40 45 dBA. 323m3/h

LG LA-Q379SB 47dBA. 318m3/h

I think it's because 18250 is not their domestic model so they can confirm. Better to ask local company then search online.

The first email is US and Canada support. The second email is their APAC division. So if the 18250 is meant for APAC (I have really no idea), the second email should have the necessary info. Even if not, they should be able to redirect you to somebody in KAZ that knows something for 18250.

(I got the email address because I emailed them before.)

Oh, wouldn't the filter model be mentioned in the manual?

Foir those ultra sensitive suffers from allergic rhinitis/asthma. In order to keep the allergen levels in the air at bay and if you wanna heal from the "inflammation injury" that you have been suffering from very long, so that after a long period of healing and living above the trigger threshold of the allergens you won't get allergic rhinitis so easily as your hypersensitive level improves.....from my experience you'd need 10 x ACH, maybe even higher.

But just get a fan to blow around your head area, so that the dust mite dropping allergen do not get breathed in when you toss n turn in bed at night, is great.

Don't worry about True HEPA or what for that. Dust mite allergen size ranges down to only 1.0 microns approx. Even H10 easily handles that range at an extremely high efficiency.

Ultimately, airflow and Air Changes Per Hour rules.

Edit - nearly 50% of humans are not allergic to the dust mites. They are allergic to the dust mite droppings, the protein and enzyme stuff that are produced. Once over that threshold, you develop an allergic reaction.

Of coz, as always, keep the source levels at bay. A weekly change of bedsheets especially pillow case is needed, in addition to HEPA filtration.

did that with my KDK fan (metal blades) :s12::D

thanks but this doesn't work for 18250, confirmed by amazon staff
If it is really HRF-AP1, it is the universal prefilter.

It is one big piece per box. I recently opened out and cut into 2 pieces for my 18200 and 18450.

I don't see why it doesn't fit into your 18250. (Disclaimer: I don't have 18250. Only have 18200 and 18450... so cannot be 100% sure.)

Check this out:
Honeywell Replacement Pre-Filter

Extract from above url:
" -Can be cut to make 2 pre-filters for current models such as HA170, 18200, 18250 & 18450 ...

Model Number:  HRF-AP1 "

You can also check with eg. Best Denki. They usually have a "poster" stating which model numbers for the filters etc...

Someone mentioned Melaka getting smoked.

Yes, it's getting smoked alright. AQI 113 and rising. (it takes time to rise coz 24-hr fig) This is based on 24-hr PM10 concentrations. It's very different from AQICN's Singapore AQI fig, which is using 1-hr PM2.5 concentrations.

The smoke went up north, some 200km. I think this started from our last night 7pm when our smoke levels went down. You can see that Melaka started rising at midnight.

For reference, JB stations recorded a peak of AQI 18x during this Thur's haze. (we got 356 ug/m3 1-hr peak, PSI 404 1hr peak).

So yeah......anything above 24-hr AQI 100 for Malaysia can be considered somewhat bad ass. Above AQI 200 is really really bad ass.

I remember in 2013, they got into AQI 749 peaks. I think it was a Sunday, 1 day after our 2013 haze cleared on Saturday by around 2pm? It took only 2hrs to clear, maciam like our Friday morning haze like that....... POOF!

if u use agent... like 65daigou... just inform them by pasting the information (e.g. your user ID at TB...seller TB name... sizes and prices and free domestic shipping) onto the special instructions... after u chat with the seller to confirm that he has stock and the prices for that and ask him if got free domestic shipping or not... screen shot the chat and open a new enquiry under pre sales... Allow the staff to have another evidences and when items arrived then close it =:p

well u either used 4PX ... get payment Ali pay card or payment by credit card...

read the steps from here

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/e...taobao-buying-guide-part-6-a-4981870-262.html

ask the Taobao expert...

or u use agent... I only used 65daigou the rest not yet tested nor trusted...
payment by Internet banking... Fund transfer to their ATM (free of charge) Credit cards pay service charge...

So far no damage nor disappointed with them... except a tear in one of the package but items not damage... so just need gave them the feedback...

Their sea shipment is for small items and sensitive items like mobile batteries... phone casings... Did used it for ceramic pot it arrived without damage and they pasted fragile stickers on the package...

But the weight for this is and this add up the shipping fees :s22: but it spread out over 2 years or more so can lessen the pain... =:p

Yes, the FU-Z31 is using the Sharp 180 机。 The seller pro one, he will know. I think he knows a bit of English, so you mix Chin + Eng is ok.

35mm would be very tokong, it seems that the Z31 has a torquey motor. The Nidec motor in the Samsung AX40 more for speed. I put in a 30mm thickness HEPA and the airflow is already excellent.

35mm would be naise. But cannot do 45mm, the filter cavity maxes out at 42mm I think. But 35mm is absolutely fine.

It's an upgrade to your air purifier. Stock Sharp filter for this model is H10 85% only.

Taobao HEPA filter is at least 95% @ 0.3 microns, own measurement. :)
Not the best, but hell.....where can you get a ubiquitous 300mm x 300mm x 25mm HEPA for just 6 Singapore dollars? It's so damn bloody cheap coz several hundreds of millions of people are using it for filtration in China.
I use that for my Samsung AX40 (airflow cut of approx. 35%) and Sharp A28 (no airflow loss, if any). That is why during clear months, I use 2-3 months throw liao. :D

What about the Samsung AX40?

Also how many pc should I order to optimize shipment? 5 pcs good enough?
Thanks

Really appreciate experts like WRX & Chuanz for sharing your tips. Maybe bro WRX can start a thread on how to order hepa filters (for Sharp & Samsung since they seem to be the most popular AP here)from Taobao cuz this thread is getting so long? Folks just gonna keep posting the same questions repeatedly.

If you are ordering for Sharp FU-Y30E possible to order 1 piece for me too? The ordering process is also causing me a lot of confusion. No worries if it's not possible. Thanks!
