For portability on-the-go use what small-size, external and powerful antenna would you recommend to be compatible with the WinTV-dualHD dual TV tuner?

try with the bundled antenna first, maybe it is good enough for ur usage

Is the avermedia T2+C better compared to the HVR-930C-HD or PCTV 292e Triple HD? I have plans to plug the tuner into a computer that is always on and set up a tv-server for not more than 3 users. I was using a HVR-2210 for several years now for that use so would like to know which to upgrade to. On quite a tight budget so HVR-2215 is out for me. Budget of $100.

Thanks for the info. Actually if the Hauppauge USB tuners can achieve what I want I prefer the brand compared to averMedia. Is the avermedia the only one that can record one channel and watch the other?

Ordered on 29 Jun 2015. Receive it on 13 Jul. Supposed to get it on 10 Jul 2015 but missed the delivery.

Tried it already. Can receive all the local HD channels + SD channels via :

1. Antenna supplied
2. Old TV antenna point on the wall

I managed to try out on the Starhub DVB-C TV antenna point. Scan and found 52 channels but cannot watch at all. CANNOT watch local channel at all.

Overall, still good buy.

I got this. It is pretty good.

And I managed to install Windows Media Center on Windows 10 using with this also.

[QUESTION]

Owners of TBS and Avermedia DVB-T2/C tuners : is the remote provided programmable under a Windows based OS? By this i mean the remote has a sort of file one can edit to launch other programs besides the included PVR and/or WMCE? Examples wold be Kodi, NPVR, etc

I have not really used the remote control feature of my TBS card.

But TBS cards supports WinLIRC to configure and receive remote control signals.

Anyone try SichboPVR or ProgDVB? Both software crash (BSOD) on the T230 USB stick during scanning.

windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and using it in DVB-C mode

Thanks for the info.

OT a bit, I was wondering if SH will to continue to provide these FTA channel feeds once Mediacorp turn off FTA analogue probably by end next year.
