after switching to digital TV, i cannot view starhub supersports arena ch205 anymore

Of course not lah. StarHub SuperSports Arena is not broadcast in the air. It's only broadcast via the StarHub tv point.

I saw few stb with usb port. Supporting PVR.
meaning i can program the stb to record those channels and just leave the stb power on right?

Cancelled my SH service. Used to the recording and timeshifting on the SH hd-stb.

Can the videos be viewed in pc? They didn't say record in what format.

Yes, schedule recording is a standard feature available in most STB, just need to connect some sort of external storage device to store the recorded video.

Yes, the recorded video which is likely to be in TS format and can be view on PC.

Hi all...need some advise from the pros here, I have just shifted to Punggol from bedok.
Previously bought an indoor antenna which is able to watch hd local channels, however, after shifting to my new place, I'm not able to search for hd channel with the same antenna. Understand that Punggol currently is not hd ready yet.
Question is, is there anyway that I can watch hd local channel besides subscribing to star hub cable box?
Thank in advance!

1. Stick antenna outside window.
2. If using passive antenna, switch to active one. Or DIY an antenna with better gain.
3. Buy DVB-C stb or raspberry pi+dvb-c capable stick.
4. Do nothing and wait for Mediacorp to cover Punggol eventually.

I saw qoo10 selling microUSB connection to plug into Android phones.
That is like the USB to pc/laptop type.

Can connect to phone, then cast to TV ???

Are you referring to this? If yes, then the answer is NO.

Tried a really compact DIY antenna with the leftover wire from earlier experiments - the hentenna invented by Japanese ham radio operators. It is a 27.1cm (H) x 9cm (W) rectangle. The bottom part is made of a smaller rectangle 9cm (W) x 5.4cm (H). Total length: 72.2cm. Easy to make too since it is just 2 rectangles.

I'm really pleased with its performance - it is smaller than both the biquad and hourglass and have no problem catching the signal in one of the rooms where there was a blind spot with the 2 earlier antennas.

Smaller also means easier to hide. Will recommend DIYers to try out this design.

Then what does it do?

Your answer for NO, is for which part.

Can it connect to phone to receive DVB-T2?
Or NO, it cannot cast to TV? Most phone and new TV have the option right?

I read only those phone that supports OTG can use it.
But since the micro USB is used for OTG & MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link), can it still connect to TV-HDMI while using OTG?

Of course referring to the casting part, this device is just a TV stick and output is either to the phone or PC via OTG cable.

I

It can do either at one time but not both together. The Android device only has 1 micro-USB port. My Galaxy Tab Pro can receive DVB-T2 with a microUSB OTG adapter + Mygica T230. It also can cast to TV with the MHL microUSB adapter whatever is on its screen. But obviously cannot do both together since only 1 port to plug into. The MHL adapter is a different device that came with my Tab Pro but other Android devices may have to purchase differently.

If you phone have the wireless cast (Screen Mirroring) function. then dun need MHL cable.

So you can buy the USB/microUSB DVB-T2. Then the phone (source) can be placed at a better position to receive signal.

it does have HDMI connect and RCA.

I use RCA can receive CH U

than connect to HDMI ....CH U cannot get it..

despite I auto scan , I do see ch U channel been program inside my channel list.

( the rest of the HD channel I can received but only CH U )

perhaps ...once ch U become HD , I will able to see it?

Is the stb the China made k-2 stb from qoo10? Use a better antenna or tv aerial extension cable to move antenna away from the TV/stb. Somehow using the HDMI connection makes it more vulnerable to interference.

TV also need to support the screen mirroring function. Will be difficult to change channels/volume on the phone while watching on TV. I also have my doubts if this screen mirroring can keep up with the live dvb-t2 contents on a phone.

That one is screen resolution problem. Your AC Ryan is outputting the image in a mode that your LCD monitor cannot accept. Try a different resolution in the AC Ryan settings.

Funke Home 2.0

Thanks bros for letting me know where to buy the Funke antenna. I bought the Daiyo 1702 $64 at challenger last week as many places were out of stock for Funke antenna. I was not very impressed with the Daiyo 1702. Signal was not fantastic. Ended up have to place on the floor to get the best signal out of the antenna...

Today I went to Courts at Westgate. They have at least 20pcs of Funke Margon Home 2.0. I bought one ($39) too. I will do a comparison tonight.
